I bought this microwave because it's a little less bulky than some of the other options. It works great.

A good solid basic cheap microwave, LED light and heat up food very well. Vent isn't good but I expected it for most of these range microwaves. Installation is relatively easy. Minus 1 star because it is relatively heavy to lift up for installation and the door latch to open and close the microwave door sounds and feels cheap. Brand new and that latch already sounds like it might break any day. Can't say I am surprise for the price. Bought this for temp replacement before we will replace the entire kitchen appliances as a package/set in a few years. So if you are looking for something long term, pack with features that will last, I think you might want to look elsewhere, but if you just want a basic range microwave that you need for short term, this is you best bet, great price, heat food very well and the LED lamp is nice and bright. Looks modern.

Unit died after 14months...like most others that have mentioned on here. All power went out on the unit (display, buttoms, light, etc). Not much info is online, but its actually a very easy fix requiring just a fuse replacement. The OEM fuse P/N is 17470000001540, but any 20A 250V fast acting fuse will work, and Ace and Home Depot carry these "Microwave Fuses" for $3-5 for 2. The fuse is located in the front upper right corner of the unit. UNPLUG THE MICROWAVE. You will need to remove 4 total screws to get to it. On the very top of the unit looking down... 2 black screws to remove the long rectangular plastic vent above the door, 1 silver screw on the top right side that's recessed/hidden which holds to black plastic panel on the right front of the unit. Once this screw is removed, the black plastic panel on the right side slides up to unlatch (no need to unplug any of the wires). Behind this is a metal grate on the top that is held by one final screw. Once you remove that metal grate, the fuse is right there on a circuit board. Be careful with the old fuse as the glass was shattered on mine. Once replacing the fuse, mine has been working once again without issue. I read that if the microwave keeps popping fuses, the door switches are the culprit. Fortunately the door switches are very accessible, and are also behind the black plastic panel off to the side. They are also pretty cheap on amazon. Good luck and hopefully you can also fix yours for a few dollars and <10 min of time.

This thing is massive. Can fit a whole turkey. Very powerful. I liked the stainless steel look and feel. If you are picking it up though, bring a friend as the item is a bit heavy.

This microwave has a very sleek design and works great! It was also nice to find one that fix above my stove, since I was limited on space but don't be fooled this microwave is huge inside!! Overall well pleased.

This microwave was super easy to install, is the perfect size, the light is fantastic and the hood works better than I anticipated it would. The downside? When the microwave cycle is finished, it emits three beeps. I am usually multi-tasking in the kitchen and I don't always pull things from the microwave immediately. And if I don't? The three beeps continue, at about a 15 second interval, FOREVER. If I could find a kill switch on the noise, I would. Instantly. It works just like a microwave would, I just wish it would shut up.

My brand new LG over the range microwave oven completely stopped heating Just after three years of usage. It didn’t work. I had to buy a new microwave oven. So I purchased Insignia™ - 1.6 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave - Stainless steel. Ohh this one was blown away..Great microwave sleek design looks modern and it’s quiet. I think I did the great purchased.

One of the best prices for an Over-the-Range microwave, and so far, it has been great. Everyone who has come to our kitchen and seen it has loved the flat (no handle) design. We usually have to point out the microwave to them before they really notice it is there. I do wish the LED display was not the super bright blue. It is the one thing that draws a lot of your eye attention, and it is a little harsh on the eyes at nighttime. But at least you can read it well. Nice inside space for full size dishes and bowels and cooks well.

The reality is there are not a lot of options for appliances as many are made by just a few companies under various names selling for practically the same price everywhere. Sure, pricing is important, but reliability, functionality and decor fit are bigger issues. With the Insignia brand, Best Buy can replicate that in-house success and reputation of historic brands like Kenmore which are really about coming up with a compelling design and getting it made right. What originally attracted us to this model is the bottom mounted controls and that it wasn't too tall to exceed the backsplash. It didn't mean more space inside, but it was different than many models out there. There were also some significant design decisions such as not having an inside rack (which either has to be removed for taller items or makes the space more difficult to access), removing the handle (which I have seen break on many previous owned models), ensuring the lighting was sufficient onto the range and making the fan powerful enough to be effective. This model does all of these things right, but the website doesn't do a good job enough of promoting or explaining these aspects. The microwave mounts very easily and happen to fit the decor in our area (including other appliances using the trendy blue LED). Some of the cost saving decisions though could have been done differently such as way too little use of the exterior stainless steel and not making the interior even bigger or not going after energy star certification. I don't mind that Best Buy puts this item on sale at a much lower price than competitive models, but some might question the quality because of it where I see it as more of a stale inventory management issue. Also, because it wasn't made by the name-brand companies, parts are not widely interchangeable/available if needed. Not a big deal for a low-cost microwave, but would probably be an issue for a larger appliance. Long term, it remains to be seen if this model last longer than other brands. They have only been out in the wild since late 2017/early 2018, so it takes awhile to get that feedback and durability rating.

Needed a new microwave to replace ours that just died and this looked like a good deal. Especially like the sleek appearance because it has no handle sticking out from the door. I ordered for in store pick up thinking I was paying $149 and my local Best Buy must have had it on clearance because I only payed $99. The microwave was very straightforward to install and looks great in our kitchen. Very nice led lights are great and the exhaust fan is pretty powerful as well. The mw does not seem quite as powerful as our last one (it must have been 1200W) but it works great. The value of this purchase can not be beat.

We replaced a much more expensive over-the-range GE microwave that had been having problems since year two and finally broke for good at five years old. This microwave actually has an extra .1 cubit feet and pretty much all of the same options that our old microwave had plus a few new ones. Hoping it has better lasting power than a lot of our appliance purchases we made when we moved into our home. Already had to replace most of them. So far so good with this one.

This microwave looks great and works extremely well. I researched before purchasing to identify the manufacturer but had no luck. But upon receiving and installing the unit, I noticed that the glass tray and the mounting bracket are identical to my old GE microwave. Therefore one could safely assume that this microwave is manufactured by the same company that manufactures GE microwaves.

The microwave installed easily, looks good, and is user friendly.

After my Samsung microwave kept dysfunctioning, it was time for a new one. I really like the styles with the functions on the bottom of the microwave and not on the side. For the price and for the function we use - just to heat up food, it’s a great buy and looks sleek.

First impression it’s sleek and modern design makes it nice to look at. The most important thing is the sturdiness of the door opening and closing. The venting powering of cooking under the microwave is the best I’ve encountered so far. Lastly the power of warming and cooking the food is excellent. Too bad after I got this microwave fro Best Buy they stop carrying this unit...

I was very nervous at first because when it was delivered it was raining and the box was pretty much gone. We got it in and Best Buy has it so protected no water got into the microwave. It was easy set up and looks great with all our appliances we bought from Best Buy. Will always give my business to them.

Microwave is easy to use. Need 2 people to install it if you plan to install it on your own. The only thing that gets to me, is the beeping sound when food is ready. It’ll keep beeping until you take food out.

I got this over the range microwave over a year ago and it still working great, the door sometimes requires a little force to open but that’s understandable because it’s a big microwave

First, I like the look of it. Second, it was a very good price. Third, it is very easy to use. Quick function buttons that actually make sense. Con: 3 very loud beeps at the end of every cycle that you can't turn off or turn down.
