The reason some are complaining about the noise is because it has the exhaust fan. Apparently, this model, which did different than my Frigidaire, when you cook anything, the exhaust fan will also turn on to circulate the smell out. I have a exhaust over my range so it makes sense to circulate that out whenever you use the microwave.
