    Not for garage

    I bought this refrigerator as a backup that would be kept in the garage. No where on the specifications, etc. was there any indication this unit was not suitable for garage use. Until I read the manual which states that the refrigerator is NOT suitable for use in garage AFTER the refrigerator was delivered. Not a happy camper. Looks like a fine refrigerator .. haven't had long enough to know. I need to figure out where I can re-locate the fridge before I can use it. I'll recommend IF not using in garage.

    It was great while it lasted

    I bought this fridge because it fit in my small space, and had the bottom freezer that I wanted. It was a great little fridge for about 3 months. When I contacted Geek Squad they told me they don't work on refrigerators 'in the field' under 14 cu ft, so I had to get a new one and send the old one back. After the tremendous hassle (I'll spare you the details, but it wasn't an easy process!) I got a replacement and was happy again. About 3 months later, guess what! As if on cue, it's starting to frost up the freezer, and it makes a sound like a fan or something is always on & straining. Exactly like last time. Geek Squad's policy won't allow them to send someone to figure out what's wrong, so there's no lasting solution. I guess time is up and my business is going elsewhere! I'm not going to keep doing this every 3 months!

    Clearances are ridiculous!

    I was shocked after receiving this fridge to read in the manual that the fridge needs 8 inches of clearance on the sides as well as 8 inches in the back and one foot clearance above! I know it's a freestanding fridge, but c'mon! I didn't think I'd have to stand it in the center of the kitchen! It rather defeats the purpose of buying this small fridge for cramped quarters. It is nice looking and I like the layout, so I gave it two stars, but I'm debating if I should send it back.

    My refrigerator started to make loud fan noise (defect fan motor) within a week from the purchase. Contacted Insignia and they told me I need to bring this fridge to a local store for the repair. Contacted Geek Squad (I purchased extended warranty) and same response that I need to bring this fridge to a local store for the repair. How can a 6ft 150lb fridge can be a carry in item? non sense. I just returned mine.

    We've had nothing but trouble with this fridge. First it arrived dented all along the left side. Best Buy graciously offered a gift card. However, about two months into owning it, it started to run loudly at all hours of the day and night. It's also VERY cold, even on the low setting. The noise stops when the door is opened, but then starts up again. We just wanted someone to come out to fix it, under our Geek Squad plan, but it turns out it's easier to just replace it, according to Best Buy. But it's impossible to get a hold of them to arrange a replacement. Honestly, the process should be simpler than this!

    Worthless Junk

    I wish I could give it zero stars. Temperature is wildly irregular in the refrigerator. Things freeze in the crisper. Nearly freeze on the lower shelf and unsafely warm on the top shelf. Ive tried all 5 temperature adjustments and can`t get an even safe temperature. Contacted company about warranty repair. I would have to bring it in to Best Buy. Which means I would have to rent a truck to bring it there and then back. Who knows if the same thing wouldnt happen again. Ill take my loss now instead of adding more money.

    I purchased this refrigerator on 11/23/2017. Few days ago today 12/28/2017 i notice that the refrigerator is not keeping any thing cold but the freezer compartment is working fine. Now Best buy is requesting that I return the unit to the store. This is unreasonable and unacceptable. Better should be done and best buy should treat customers like they a valved.

    My refrigerator is only 2 months old at the coolest setting the internal temp is about 50 degrees .So please don’t waste your money on this product.I Took mines back to Best Buy.

    This refrigerator worked for 5 months and has stopped cooling. BestBuy is telling me that I have to take the refrigerator in to a store to have it serviced. Needless to say, that will not be easy, as it is a refrigerator. I do wish that I had not purchased it. This seems like a the beginning of a lot of trouble and at some point, after all that trouble, I will make the decision to basically abandon the $465 I paid for it and buy something else. This is no way to do business, BestBuy.

    I bought one of these in 2017. It's worked great until now (2/2020) when it started having a noise and . We bought a Geek Squad complete coverage for 5 years. However, Best Buy tells us that we can only get service if we bring this refrigerator into a store. So, take out all the food, get an appliance dolly, move refrigerator to car, fit in car, drive to BB, get it out, leave it there for an unknown period of time....then do in reverse. All this with a 5' 6" refrigerator that weights 130lbs. So, despite it being a great fridge, I would heartily recommend not buying from BB or buying at all.
