First of all its brews a good cup of coffee probably because of the cone filter. But secondly because the coffee still is warm and taste fresh 4-5 hours later. There is no burner to keep heating the coffee til it taste burnt. The carafe is solid to keep the coffee for awhile. The black and stainless look compliment the rest of the appliances in the kitchen. Would buy again.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The couple of good thing this this coffee maker does well is the coffee extremely hot right off the bat, and it makes quite a bit of coffee too (8-10 cups). The negatives that I have noticed so far is that only 45 minutes to 1 hour after making the coffee, it is lukewarm/cold already... With it being metal, you would think it would stay hot, but it cools extremely quick and the base doesn't keep it warm. The other negative piece that I can't get over is after cleaning the coffee pot under sink water multiple times, water has seeped inside the lining of the pot, so even though the pot itself is empty, you can hear water sloshing around and it occasionally spills out when pouring coffee. For something that is valued at $80.00 the pot itself has quite a bad design...
