This item is very effective in allowing me to display information from my Surface Pro laptop to my large-screen smart TV monitor. The port on the Surface Pro would not accept a regular HDMI cable and this Mini Display port has been amazing for my computing needs.

The cord that came with my new monitor, did not come with cord I needed. I bought this to use. These guys at Best Buy worked hard to find the right connection for me. I appreciate it!

I purchased 2 of these to connect my Microsoft Surface dock to 2 monitors. The connection registers on my PC but the screen is black. I tried both cords and both with the same results. I finally purchased an Amazon Basic HDMI to Mini Display cord for half the price and it works perfectly. Not sure what the difference is but at least i saved money. Will have to return these 2 cords I purchased. The cords did look well made and sturdy.

This purchase was to replace the exact same cable I purchased just 2 years ago. I do not understand how a cable that is not moved, not unplugged and plugged back in, not even touched can go bad but it did. I would have shopped for a different brand if I were not in a big hurry.
