Nice DVD player for the price - easy to navigate, good picture, lasts the 2 1/2 yours per charge as advertised. The sound could be a bit louder (No, I don't have a hearing loss) but with earbuds it's OK.

Honestly, this lil' guy is worth the buy. Used it in our daughter's room for a week and it held up well and was easy to use (yes, we trusted it with a youngster and it's still intact). We didn't have any issues with the speakers, the volume was loud enough to hear in other rooms (it's not going to be like having a sound system or large TV, but it does what it needs to do) and quality overall was on par for a portable player. Definitely going to come in handy for trips. We got ours on sale, but would've paid full price if we had to.

I'm pretty sure you won't get a better all around DVD player for the money. You need to be okay with a 10" screen. It's plenty big enough for me. The buttons feel pretty solid, unlike some others I have tried. Battery life for me is 3 hours. Wish it was better, but it was advertised at 2.5, so I'm okay with it. Wish it had a way to display current state of the battery, but all you get is a flashing 'battery' message when it gets very low. Maybe the remote allows you to press a button to check battery life, but I don't want to be tied to the remote. Screen is sharp, and audio is pretty clear and plenty loud. I'm surprised to learn that some people claim it doesn't get loud enough. Sitting by myself, in a quiet room, I can easily hear the volume from the speakers with the setting on 2 or 3 (it starts at 1 and moves up). I don't know how high it goes, but it's at least 20. I can't imagine a situation when I would set the volume on something higher than 4. Don't know how long it will last, but the performance/features for the money make this a very good buy in my view. Have probably watched about 16 hours of video so far. I'm very happy with it.

I purchased two of these for a 3 day road trip across country for my 8 year old and my 3 year old. What a life saver! It made the trip go by so much faster for everyone. There were no issues with the players except for the remote to control the player would not work properly to play the movie for my 3 year old who could not work the DVD player. It would not play the movie even with my arm fully extended to the backseat so that the remote was facing the player(and yes I pulled the yellow paper tab out of the controller before Use.) Overall, this is a great little DVD player. I would recommend.

Since my new computer will not play DVDs I needed a DVD player. I read the little booklet, but found that just putting a DVD in the player it started right up. The picture quality is good, the sound not as good as I would like. I use the DVD player for my exercises and since these are new exercises, it is hard to hear the instructor even with the volume turned as high as it will go. I still find this player useful though. I can pick it up and take it anywhere. I can use it to entertain my grandchildren at home or on the go. It has a remote so I can shut it off if the grandchildren get to roudy around it. I am basically happy with it.

I give this 3 stars only due to its excessively low volume. You do indeed have to be very close to hear. I read many reviews on it's low volume but because you have to hold it so close due to small screen, I felt it would do. I wish the volume went a little louder because you do tire of holding it so close. Having discussed the volume, I do give this unit high marks for picture quality and ease of use. For those two features, I would have given it 5 stars.

It works well, and has a clear picture. It is simple to operate. I am quite pleased with it because it does not take up much room to pack when I am travelling.

The screen on this DVD player is larger and clearer than the one it replaced. It is simple and easy to use, we were able to teach the disabled person we bought it for in a few minutes.

Good value for the money when many like this are no longer on the market. This is straight-up simple with a decent screen and battery life. I have had one for 30 years made by sony but dropped it and was surprised at how reasonable this model was for the specs.

This was purchased as a gift. I have not had a chance to see how good it really is, but it was on sale and you can't beat the price. These are starting to get harder to find. It's nice that it could be used for traveling and camping, or simply used in another room.

Needed to replace older cd/dvd player for portable use. Liked at the offerings from all of the other stores (ie Walmart, and local electronic stores) and although those unit was a few dollars more the quality and features of the Insignia 10” player made a worlds difference. The feel of the unit and the controls are far better than the others

easy to use. decent volume, good picture. Exactly what you would expect for the price point. It is a bit sturdier than I thought I would be, though no where near indestructible. it is great to keep kids busy on trips or if stuck with them at the DMV! had no problem charging it or using ear buds or headphones with it. I would buy again

Great option for traveling when Wi-Fi is spotty or fails. Swivel makes it easier to share viewing. Sound is clear. Easy to carry. We have a large DVD and CD library, so this equipment is in regular use.

This is super awesome! We can take it on road trips and the kids are entertained also we can connect to a bigger TV and enjoy as well! Great investment.

Excellent product. I am alone now as all my family has died and the children are living elsewhere and working. I enjoy the old movies now available on DVD these days. The man who sold it to me was most patient and provided exactly what I needed.

Great screen size. Inexpensive. Reliable mechanism, as I have gifted people with this item in the past. But Best Buy needs a two month return window when delays happen in mental hospitals. I got two patients first and last names mixed up and the hospital held up the package mixed up for 2 months. Nobody at Best Buy or the hospital understands why I couldn't get the red tape out and away from the hospital rules.

Good quality and value. Real easy to use. Nice to have the battery power for road trip.
