Purchased this one because old shredder died. Surprised that I was able to shred a box of papers without it overheating. Old shredder would run for 5-10 minutes and then overheat and have to wait 30 minutes. this one also shreds old credit card.

This insignificant but yet a must have, becomes very significant in my household. I shred everything and anything that come to my home with my name or wife name on it hat we don't want or did not solicit. this shredder does what it says. I shred everything from paper to cardboard cards to plastic credit card. This little insignificant machine is a must in this household. A dumpster diver will not find anything with my family name on it dumpster diving. This little shredder is more than worth what I paid for it.

This shredder does a good job. It hasn't overheated, and shreds items to a good quality. It's simple to empty and not bad looking overall.

This replaces a shredder that was worn out. The microcut remains are so much better than the old strips. Not only are they much less likely to be put back together but because of the cut the container doesn't get filled as quickly (easier to compress as well).

Like that it cuts paper really fine, it struggles sometimes if I overstep paper amount but gets the job done. Have not over heated this yet nor overloaded it either. Very quite compared to my old staples shedder that was 6 years old.

Dang, does exactly what it says it would do. Shreds paper. Micro cut is nice so that no one can tape together my shreds - like in the movies. All joking aside, nice unit - fairly compact and gets the job done.

Have had several shredders over the years. This is the most expensive shredder I have purchased - about $75, but it has been a much better device. Last two previously purchased have been cross-cut -- which is better than original shredders. This one is a microcut -- which is substantially better than any cross-cut. It has a large waste drawer, so it holds a lot more shredded material than typical shredders - plus it cuts a few more sheet simultaneously than others and also cuts credit cards and has a slot to shred CDs/DVDs --- just regular strip shredding -- which is totally sufficient to destroy discs. You can still overload the number of sheets and jam the shredder and have to watch on continuous shredder use for overheating, but for a personal shredder, it works very well.

the shredder is not a bad Shredder the pros versus the cons proses is shreds very well and it lasts a few years the cons is that after a few years the shredder clogs up very bad but overall I give this Shredder four out of five stars

It is not very loud when it shreds and it really shreds closer to 5 sheets of paper at one time comfortably without sounding like it is straining. Shreds one card at a time easily. Great for light, household shredding, but I wouldn't recommend for a lot of continuous shredding.

I replaced a 15 year old shredder with this one.And it is so quiet compared to my old one. I can actually hold a conversation over this one. The paper is very finally shredded in diamond shapes. I like the window so I know how full it is.

Replaced an aging strip shredder and this one works much better. Have not had any over heating or overloading issues. Also this one makes confetti out of the paper so that you cannot see any personal info after shredding unlike the older style.

This shredder is actually the perfect accent to my home office. Not loud, yet strong enough to efficiently shred documents and credit cards with little effort. This purchase was long overdue...until now.

It delivers. Just the right size to fit under desk for the times when I just have a few papers to shred. Wheels help to move it to the side for larger volumes. Noise is not disruptive. Bucket size just the right size for the shredding I do weekly.

This is a great everyday shredder! I shredded all my papers and cards with ease. I didn't experience any issues with overheating. I will definitely recommend this product for office or everyday use.

Had years of papers to get rid of and this shredder went through them in no time. The size is great and I'm able to keep it under a table in my den which is really handy as it allows me to shred without having to leave the room. I highly recommend it.

This shredder is perfect for a home office. Will “micro” shred up to 10 pages at a time. It also shreds credit cards and thicker materials. It’s a good size without taking up too much room.

This is one excellent Shredder, as it's powerful and does cross-shred your important papers with ease. However; it states this is a 10-Sheet Shredder which it will of course do, but I wouldn't recommend it, as it does push its limits. I have been using this Insignia Shredder now for three weeks now, about (3) hours a day, and it works wonderful, but just don't push it with (10) pieces of paper at once and you will be fine. It does have an overheat function, along with a reverse function as well. Great price at BesBuy, I easily recommend itif you need a new one!

This shredder is quiet and it gets the job done. I had to shred 7 years of paper work and mail and it shredded the entire job without any problems. It only overheated twice.

This an easy to use and quality product. Microcut is the best for privacy. It is very light and has wheels to move it around the home office.
