Well worth the price... don't know what it won't chew up. Quieter than recent shredders owned. Easy to remove collection drawer and dump. On wheels is a plus.

I have had this shredder for about a month. It shreds into tiny pieces of unidentifiable paper. I have put 10 sheets in at once and it works, it just slows down to get it done. I have filled the bin 2-3 times before the shredder overheats. I am very pleased with this shredder. Excellent rating for value as I purchased it on sale.

This shredder isn't the fastest or the quietest but it does a good job shredding. Best of all it is easy to empty and doesn't make a mess. I had a shredder before this one that may have been more powerful and faster but it was the style where the top came off to empty the bottom. There is just no way to do that cleanly without getting paper pieces everywhere. This shredder has the pull out drawer and it's super easy to empty into the trash can!

Quiet, efficient and small. Love the pull out drawer for easy disposal without making a mess. Shreds paper, credit cards and CDs efficiently and quietly.

I bought this shredder to replace a previous purchase.. I do love the ease of emptying the basket, and the tiny bits the paper is reduced. It is kind of noisy but not overly so.. it states it will accept and shred 10 pages at a time.. I find that around 8 sheets of normal paper and it starts to want to slow down.. so I'd not agree to the 10 sheets.. however it works great and is a nice addition to a home office.The reason for only 4 stars out of 5 is a combination of price and not being able to shred the advertised 10 sheets at a time.. but other than that it is a first rate machine

After our old shredder quit working, I did much looking and comparing and decided on this. I am pleased with how small this shreds, and is much quieter than the previous one. I liked that it has a designated slot for DVD and such. The pull out drawer is also a big plus. I would recommend this.

This shredder works well. I don’t do thick stacks at one time, but for the typical home shredding jobs It works great. I bought the cheaper shredder before and it broke within a week. It had plastic parts around the teeth and the plastic bent when shredding and the machine quit working. I got a refund for the broken shredder and bought this one. It Is fine. It is quieter than the cheaper one. The on/off button slides left to right and seems cheap made, but it works.

Just Love this shredder and it’s features. It shreds much quieter than my previous one. It’s also on wheels and it’s easier to empty with no mess.

I needed a good quality shredder to destroy a vast quantity of personal financial documents that I had accumulated over two decades. Unfortunately this shredder is good for about 15 minutes of constant use before it begins to overheat resulting in a complete shutdown. I was lubricating the cutter constantly but the system will shutdown for about an hour before you can use it again and then it's only for another 10-15 minutes. It's ok for light work but that's about it.

This is easy to use, quiet and makes very tiny shreds, so it takes longer to fill the bin. Much better than my last shredder.

The mircocut shredder really does a great job of shredding. It is a much better shredder than any shredder I have ever used. In addition, I like the 2 slots - one for paper items, and the other for credit cards, CD/DVD's. I love that I can put paper in the shredder without removing staples - what a nice feature. Personally, I can get quite alot of shredding done - I am using this at home not work. For my home needs I really like this shredder. I wish, though, it was not as noisy as it is and that the shredder would take longer to overheat as it is going to overheat.

So far I've been happy with my purchase of this shredder. I just use it for home use and have only had it for about a month. It's relatively quiet compared to other shredders that I've owned/used before. The micro cut is really nice as well. The wheels are smooth. I haven't used it to shred any credit cards or CDs but I don't foresee having any problems. I really can't complain about anything regarding this unit. I would recommend it.

Shreds good so far no jamming issues only con is it will get to a overheated state and takes awhile to cooldown.

Shredder is perfect for home use. Nice and quiet, shreds into micro size paper. Doesn't jam (so far).

Great shredder. Paper comes out in very small pieces. Easy to empty the bin. Not too noisy.

It shreds into small pieces quietly. I like the window so you can see when the bin is getting full. It is a nice size to by the desk.

Received this shredder within a few days of ordering. I specifically ordered the Insignia with wheels for the convenience of being able to relocate without having to carry. The wheels were simple to attach and turn 360 degrees. I am most impressed with how quiet this machine is and the micro cut. Prior to replacing my old shredder, I reviewed several models and chose the Insignia for the flexibility, quality and price

This is a great shredder - it’s nice and quiet with low mess. I love that the waste receptacle fits snugly so there is low risk of spillover, especially since there is a clear panel so you can see it’s contents. Super quiet so I don’t wake the neighbors if I’m up late at night shredding incriminating documents. The shredded paper is so small that there wouldn’t be a ghost of a chance of anyone piecing it back together!
