Not only is it relatively quiet for a shredder, it is on wheels! Chops up paper into confetti.

This shredder is not loud like the old one it replaced. It does a good job of cutting and is so easy to dump the pieces.

Love this shredder. It's super quiet and very easy to empty. Like that it's on wheels.

I was tired of tearing up papers with personal information, decided to finally get this micro cut, it makes life so easy, I toss in any labels, envelopes in it too. Usually 10 pages are ok at a time. If it gets stuck easy to reverse. I went through a big stack without it overheating on me. The price is justified for the quality i think.I would certainly recommend.

It's way expensive, however I've owned a few . So this being the one , to do what my others failed to do , I found that due to lack of horse power and over all longevity maybe even a lack of quality.. I found that even though the price was really high , so where my expectations.. I read review, they where the decision makers in this purchase. That and I if disappointed I'd take it right back. So it's not the fastest, but that being said , I find it always always comes down to will it over heat? Will it take a half hour to reset and that's a sure downer . Don't know what you are buying it for , I however bought for the pile of mail that comes daily which contains my info. When getting rid of my mail I want to do it right at that moment, Two thing 1st the micro cut is priceless, not for the reason I thought . Well quite frankly didn't even know about till my first shredddd..This thing seemed to bogg I thought well it's going back.. Pleasantly surprised to experience, the bogged sound that always over heats the stupid shredders I've owned was in this case not an over heat experience . The horse power and complete shredded credit card offers made the slow boggy sound ok even great it didn't over heat.. 2nd the micro cutt it is not for so much the for me a security issue, though again I didn't notice that feature when purchased. The micro cut means it can take twice the volume of shredded bills , not so many pushe down or trips to the dumpster. Way cool. Though excited I did put in a particular large add an envelope thinking this was a miracle.. I did overload it with the valu coupon envelopes About 1/4 inch thick.. So not the super sounding endall that you probably think at this point . It's solid ,micro cut along ,with quality, horse power, finally a complete shredded credit card offer envelope eating shredder..

This shredder says that it can shred up to 10 pages, but when trying to do so, it sounds like it is about to die. I would recommend putting a max of 6-8 pages in this shredder at any given time. The disposal bucket is large, but make sure you empty it before the paper gets to the top of the window, or it will become a huge mess, especially since the shredder does a good job a cross-cutting. Wheels are very nice for rolling it around on hard floors or very thin carpets.

Replaced and old, clunky and loud shredder for this one and very happy with it. I can have this out in my home office unplugged where it is convenient to use because it looks nice. I used a maximum of three sheets at first use as to not to overwork it so I do not know how it is with ten sheets at a time.

This is a good little shredder. When my old one died, I wanted to replace it with one on wheels. It's good for small shred jobs. It gets bogged down with too much at once so I have to break it up into smaller stacks. I like the small pieces it cuts things into. I have not put a CD through it yet but it has handled everything else.

This shredder does a good job of shredding. The pieces are small and short, making it a very secure end product for trash or recycling. The one thing preventing a 5/5 review is the fact that it seems to labor a bit when you put over 5 sheets in, more than my previous shredder would when handling over 50% capacity. That said, so far it has not bogged down or stopped even when handling close to 100%. And, it was a pretty good price point, making it fine for my home office needs.

Works great. Easy to use, shreds into small pieces. The paper bin is EASY to empty. Quiet running.

I brought this shredder for my 83 old mother who is very protective of her documents. She had bags of papers that needed to be disposed of. It microcut paper which made my mother comfortable with shredding her documents. It was very easy for her to use and the bin was easy to pull out to dispose of the shredded paper. Great Shredder!

Again, insignia is the best brand I have found and only Best Buy carries it because it is their own brand. This one is on wheels and you don't have to pick any top off with blades to empty it. You just pull out the drawer that holds all the shredded papers And empty it. I've had all the shredders and then worked as well as this one. It shreds 10 papers total at a time

Nice machine. Does a good job. Not too loud. Easy to use.

When our old paper shredded died, I figured I'd get about the same performance. Wrong. I got much, much better. This Insignia is quieter. It creates confetti rather than a cross cut. The confetti takes up less space in the drawer. Also, it has rollers, a feature I wanted. I did look online, and the item I thought that I wanted wasn't stock. I'm glad it wasn't!

Had a large amount of paper to shred after cleaning out files. This shredder handled the job, which surprised me. The overheating protection did kick in a couple of times, typically after an hour of shredding. The slot to feed items in will not accept large bundles of paper so shredding 5 sheets at a time is the norm. It chops the documents into confetti sized pieces so "reassembling" is next to impossible. As a home shredder I would definitely recommend it. Durable, easy to empty and handles the job very effectively.

This shredder is very good. I have always had the less expensive, smaller ones, but finally broke down and spent the money on a bigger, nicer one, and I am so glad I did. It is quieter when shredding than the smaller ones, and the bin is much larger so I am not constantly emptying it. The wheels make it so much easier to move also. I definitely recommend it.

This shredder has worked very well so far. It shreds paper practically to dust and is much quieter in use than my previous shredder. The pull-out bin has plastic wheels on the rear inside to make it easier to slide in & out. It does work a little slower than my last model but that one did not shred to the extent this one does. Supposedly you can shred up to 10 sheets at once, but my sense is that I should not attempt that feat.

I bought this at a reduced price so saved some money right away. The package was delivered before scheduled date. The packaging was intact. Setting up was a piece of cake. It comes with wheels. The shredder does micro cut! I shred about half way through the shredder bucket in one go and no heat up issue so far. I did not put more than 3 pages at a time as I have had bad experiences with previous shredders so being careful. So far good let’s see how it holds up !
