This cable is compatible with all Apple devices that take the standard apple USB connector. The four-foot length is just right to charge your device and not have a bunch of extra cable getting in the way. The cable is made of premium materials and has hardened ends. The box states the cables will last for 15 thousand bends. This cable cuts my charging time for my iPad and iPods. The product comes nicely packaged in a cardboard box. It is nested in a plastic holder with the cord wrapped behind it. The cord is held in place with a rubber strap, there are holes and a button-like feature to hold the extra cable in place. The data transfer rate of the cable is 480 Mbs. The literature states this cable is MFi certified, this means that it is approved by Apple for use on their equipment. The cable also comes with a one-year limited warranty. The new design of a USB-C to Lightning allows for faster charging than the older USB-A lightning cables. Considering that this cable may outlast your iPhone/iPad I would recommend the Insignia 4’ USB-C to Lightning charge cable.

For some reason it just ceased to work today. Only lasted less than a month

Can’t beat it for the price I paid. I would recommend it for budgeting purposes if you’re not wanting to spend a whole lot of money on one.

I am pleasantly surprised by how good this Insignia Braided USB-C to Lightening Cable is. First, both the USB-C and Lightening connectors are very well made. The connector housings are made of out of aluminum and have a rubberized connector between the connector and the rest of the cable. This will protect the cable from wearing out prematurely at the adapter end. I have owned many “Premium” cables from Apple which always seem to fail at the point where the cable meets the housing. Second, the cable has a nice, stiff jacket to protect it. It is not fancy, fluffy, or died to match my personality or hair color. It is also not very thick. This may not be the best cable for high situations where the cable may frequently rub up against furniture, a desk, or a counter. But it will last longer than a non-protected cable. And it most definitely will survive living in a school or work backpack or regular home/office use. Third, this is a rather long cable. I did not think 7 feet would be long enough for my uses, but it is more than long enough. It is so long that I often need to use the included rubberized cable tie that is molded onto the cable. The cable tie does slide along the length of the cable so I can tie the cable towards either end or the middle. I find this a convenient addition since I am often adding Velcro straps to my cables for the very same purpose. Fourth, the cable is stiffer than most braided cables I have used. This is most likely because the braiding is tighter and thinner than other braided cables I have used. This is not necessarily a bad thing. The cable is still flexible, easy to loop, and does not have any issues going around corners or furniture. Fifth, this is the only cable that I have ever used with any iPhone that allowed a stable enough connection to any computer to download all my photos and videos. Maybe Apple finally fixed their OS to allow stable file transfers to a Windows PC. This has been an issue for years across multiple iPhones and Widows PCs running everything from Windows 8 to Windows 11. I doubt Apple fixed this issue just in time for my review. The Insignia USB-C cable is the only cable that I have used to allow me to transfer all 14 GB of data from my iPhone. This one point alone is enough for me to make this my go to cable for my iPhone. Overall, I think this is a very nice cable. It is not fancy, offers a good level of protection, the connections are tight, it just gets the job done. I cannot ask for anything more.

I got this as a new cord for my fast charger for my wife's I phone and my ipad. The old one wore out. It recieved daily multiple uses for about 3 years, it got flakey, that's best way to describe it. This is usb to lightning, the length at seven feet is just right to be plugged in by the nightstand and not have a bunch extra, and als enough to use the phone or ipad while laying in bed. A nice feel, sturdy build, but thicker gauge. Silver is a good color, easlu seen in low light in the bedroom or in a car. It has a nice tie band included that I used already when we went for an overnight outing. It kept it in a nice wind. It connects and engages the fast charging as it should. Connection on both ends had good grip, no slip. This fits securely in both ports. I may swap this into my van because I can keep it tied shorter and out of the way with the tie. The one I have in there does not have that. I have no issue with this, does what it says, charges compatible Apple products. The insignia in house label continues to be reliable.

I never thought I would rave about a computer cable but I’m going to! I have a Mac for work. Apple laptops don’t always work with non-Apple cables. I was a bit surprised when the box for the Insignia cable said “for Apple Devices”. I plugged it in and Woo Hoo, it works with my Mac. The cable is ten feet end to end. (Yes, I measured it.) I thought this might be a bit unwieldly, but Wow do I love this ten foot cable! I travel frequently for work and this will make it so much easier to charge my phone at whatever plug in I can actually get to in the hotel room. FYI - You need a wall charger unless you have an electric outlet with a USB-C port. I have an electric outlet with a USB-C port in my house and my phone sits at the table that is six feet plus away from the outlet and is being charged. Very convenient. I’ve never had a braided cable before. I thought they might not be very durable. According to the box it says it will withstand 15,000 bends. I bent and moved it around quite a bit and it is very flexible and durable. When I’m in a hurry to pack up and get out of the hotel I can grab this cable and shove it in my bag without worrying about damaging it. All around great cable. Get one!
