Great, extra-long charging cable!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Insignia 7' USB-C to Lightening Charge-and-Sync Cable is a nice option for charging an iPhone, iPad, or other Apple device with a lightening port. Following are the features and my observations from using this cable: - The cable is MFi-certified and compatible with Apple smartphones, tablets and other devices. - The USB-C to Lightening cable can be used for charging or transferring files. - This cable has a data transfer rate up to 480 Mbps, which is the same data transfer rate as listed in the specs for the standard cable that comes with the iPhone. - This cable is 7 ft long (2.13 m). I love the length of this cable, as it is twice the length of the standard cable that came with my iPhone. This makes it much easier to use in all situations, like plugging it in behind a night stand or other furniture, or even being able to lay in bed and use the phone while it is charging. - The braided jacket on this cable is listed as being able to withstand up to 15,000 bends. I can tell it feels much sturdier that the normal cables. I tend to eventually wear out a standard cable right by the plug, from too often using the phone while charging and bending the cable in that spot. This cable will be able to take that kind of activity without coming apart in that area. - I like having the USB-C connection, as I can now charge my phone from the USB-C port on my laptop, since my normal USB port is used for my docking station. - The cable even comes with a nice cable management strap that is attached to the cable so you won't lose it and can easily wrap up the cable for travel. If you are looking for a longer cable to charge your devices, I recommend this cable.

Great Braided Lightning Charge Cable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can you ever have enough charging cables around the house to charge your iPhones or iPads? For us, it seems like we are always looking for one that has been misplaced or left in a hotel or in a kid's backpack. This 4' USB-C to Lightning Charge-and-Sync Cable with Braided Jacket is great. We have cats so the braided cable is an absolute necessity. Our cats have destroyed many of cables in the few years they've been in our homes so the braided cable is a key feature we always look for with any charging cable. The 4' cord is a nice size. We prefer to have a variety of sizes based on the various places we choose to charge our devices. The 4' is a little shorter than some of our others so we use it on our bookshelf where we have so many cords for various charging that the short cord is perfect. It's great that so many sizes are now available compared to years ago. The lightning charge is phenomenal. It seems we always wait until the last minute to charge it and don't have the time to wait so the lightning feature is super important to us and this charging cable from Insignia absolutely delivers on that point. I will throw it out there to be prepared for the USB-C and ensure you have the adapter that will work with it. It's very common with Apple products however I have not yet accumulated a bunch of those so I will probably be purchasing another adapter so I don't need to swap this one out with other cables. Overall, I'm a big fan of this USB-C to Lightning Charge-and-Sync Cable with Braided Jacket and would highly recommend it. It's an effective product at a great price from a reputable brand so win/win/win.

Quality feel and expected charging performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've all had experience with disappointingly cheap charging cables at times, and it used to be that at the price of this Insignia 7 foot USB-C to Lightning Charge and Sync cable that you'd be guaranteed to get something that wasn't expected to last. I was impressed upon opening the package to find that the braided cable has a really similar feel to the more expensive charging cables that Apple includes with MacBooks and the iPad Pro. The braiding on the cable is an improvement from some popular brands of charging accessories where the material feels softer and more cloth-like, as those always seem to fray a little and start to feel worse over time. The Insignia cable has a sturdier feel, down to the connectors themselves which have thicker moulding around the connectors but still able to fit an iPhone with a case. Another benefit for the Insignia USB-C to Lightning is the included silicone cable wrap that makes it easy to bundle this up and out of the way without relying on velcro that can snag on other things. I am surprised that more cables don't come with this type of cable tie. Kudos to Insignia for a smartly designed product.

Apple-like Quality produced by BestBuy! Easy Buy!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Need a cord? Need one that looks nice and is built to last? How about one that just works? The Insignia Charge and Sync cable for Apple devices does what it should and is built solid. The cable is a premium MFi-certified cable for iPad, iPhone, and Mac that also works with all USB-C capable devices. Everything comes coiled and presented nicely on the box. Just pop the top and slide it out… frustration-free and ready to use! This cable does everything it claims - charges and transfers files. Transfer speeds are rated up to 480Mbps but something more useful to us is up to 60MB/s. My tests show transfer speeds around 45-50MB so results may vary. This isn't lightning fast but is respectable for sure when moving things from one device to another. The cable is built with a beautiful white braided sleeve rated to withstand up to 15000 bends. The connectors themselves are of high quality and do not have a split down the middle I find on cheaper cables. The housing feels like aluminum and of Apple quality! This is built to last so if you are looking for a cable, look no further this is a GO!

Quality construction, performs well, reliable.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With so many devices these days, I can never have enough cables. This one has a solid build with connectors that I think will hold up over time. The braiding is welcome, and again, is done well. It has a nice feel that is not too stiff, but also comes with the right amount of protection. It can easily be rolled and stowed away when not in use. As for performance, I have no complaints. It charges as it should, and the connectors (with the solid build I mentioned earlier) insert easily, stay connected, and easily fit with my current case. There is not much else to say. I like this cable and it works for me. I think most would feel the same. Time will tell as to durability and how it holds up but based on what I have seen to this point, I do not think that will ever be an issue. Depending on your needs, be sure to check which length is best for you, but I really like the 7-foot version for my uses. It gives me some flexibility when charging as well as the option to use my devices when they are connected.

USB fast charging for the I-Pad
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When my wife got her new I Phone 14, it came with a USB type C to Lightning cable. There was no transformer included. All of her previous apple transformers were USB type A. I let her use a fast charger that has both USB type A and USB type C ports that I travel with. While she wasn't surprised that her new phone charged faster than her old one, she was surprised to find that her I-Pad seemed to charge faster than it had in the past using her new cable and the fast charger. I have been told (but not verified) that USB type C devices will charge at the maximum rate they were designed for from a charger capable of higher/faster charging without overcharging. I have not heard that USB type C to Lightning will or will not do the same, but her I-Pad does seem to charge faster using this cable and charger. With this (2nd) USB type C cable and the multiple USB type C transformer/charger she can fast charge both her I-Pad and her new I-Phone at the same time. She also has one less transformer to keep up with. Since having the need to plug in 4 USB type C devices at once, I have purchased 2 more fast chargers that have 4 USB type C outlets, one for the AC outlet in my car and the other for hotel rooms, airports and the like. Now we can charge all 4 devices that we travel with with one outlet.

Long Live the Lightning Plug!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yah, we all know about Apple switching the iPhone15 to USB-C... You know the original plug that doesn't need a specific orientation... oh wait, that is the lightning plug. Even with that change, the number of devices that need lightning cables, are in the BILLIONS, and you probably have one of them if you are reading this, and no need to spend massive money on Apple's version, or bye in to the scammer hype of "get them while they last", and pay stupid prices. This one here. Is a good cable. And what is nice, is it allows the fastest charge speeds on your iPhone that uses it. more and more laptops are coming with USB-C ports, so you can connect with this. My new 2023 car, has a usb-c port for charging and Apple Play, so this is perfect to use with it. The 7' length is good for desk work (like if you are an iPhone app developer, and need to connect to your Mac-book), or if you want to use iTunes to manage apps, or just simply charge your phone. So while you are purchasing your adapters now, you can go with the USB-C plug, and still have your lightning you need for your phone. The trade is nice, and smooth... and bottom line, it works... and I am getting quick charge speeds and stable connections to my laptop

Premium Quality at a great Price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sometimes the fruit company drives me crazy. I have the new iPhone 15 USB C, but I have Airpod Pros that require a lightning. So I now need two cables. And I need both to plug in via USB C. The Insignia 4' USB C to Lightning cable fits that need and it works. But not only does it work, it also looks good and is made well - it's a nice silver color and it's braided cable makes it almost like what you would get from the fruit company. However what does stand out is it comes with a rubber cable tidy that is very well made. Not those velco style cables that tend to fall off and get lost, this is something that you will never lose. Plus, as a bonus - it's long enough that I can secure my iPhone USB C cable with the same cable tidy - solving two problems, I now have a lightning cable for my old AirPods Pro, and it keeps all my cables neat and tidy all the time. I will also say that the 4' length on the Insignia USB C to lightning cable is more than enough for my needs (from back of iMac to my desk) but if you need more length, I know Insignia have other lengths available. In summary, well made, great quality, great value.

A long and reliable 7' type C to lightning cable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This… Is Insignias (bestbuys own brand) 7’ type C to lightning cable and it is actually quite nice AND actually works! Gone are the days of getting a 5’+ cable and wondering if it will work longer than three days. With the added armour around the bend points at either end and the included cable wrap, it is almost a no brainer. While the cable is white I wasn’t able to dirty it up really at all in my car, and that includes taking it in and out of the gym on numerous occasion. I really enjoyed the cables attached cable wrap to easily roll back the 7’ cable so a giant snake isn’t always unwound in my car, bag or plugged into my laptop when I only need it to be just a couple or few feet long. The best part about this product is that it is BestBuy's own brand, meaning that all the issues you could have with it possibly breaking or bending is also serviced by BestBuy which always makes things easier! As always, BestBuy has an excellent return policy and even better customer service, so you never have to worry about buying a product that you don’t like… so why not test it out?!

High quality iPhone cable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m almost wondering if the current pro move is to Stop buying iPhone cables and start buying usb c cables with lightning adapters… that being said, this cable rivals some of my more prized and longer lived cables in use from companies like Anker. Some very high quality points here include the large over mold on the cable ends to relieve strain, and the braided cable shielding. This cable doesn’t appear to have done anything different in terms of the lightning connector itself and that seems to always be my failure point, when the positive power pin gets burned and or corroded. The braided cable shield feels nice in the hands and slides through your fingertips while still protecting the cable from pinching and breakage. As someone who has purchased a large number of Anker branded cables for their reliability in the past I feel this one to be a highly comparable contender for my primary and daily use cable. Time will tell if the durability exists and I’m curious to see what Best Buy might consider for any claims on these cables.

Fast charging and syncing quality cable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apple's OEM cords have always been awful with the outer covering thin as heck and not sturdy at all. I don't know anyone who's cable didn't strip at the phone end from being bent. This is all due to using the phone while it's charging. Apple has never fixed the issue and I can't understand why other than making that money to have people keep coming back. This is why I love this cable. It's very well made and the braided nylon prevents it from being damaged due to using the phone while charging. I think 7 ft is a great length for charging while using. It will reach the outlet and to where you are. It's a bit too long for the car or to plug into a computer but I'm using this while I'm on the device. I love that it's USB-C which allows the fast charging. It does charge FAST! I kept forgetting to time it though. It works great for syncing on the computer. Copying over photos to files on my desktop was light work for this. I think apple could take a page out of Insignia's book and attemp to make them at this quality.

good quality Lightning cable for charging & Data
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This four foot braided white cable from BestBuy's house brand is a winner. It is made well with a braided fabric sheathing with on USB-C connector and of course another end with a Lightning connector. But the plus here is it has been one of the few cables that have provided me with a reliable data connection to my laptop. I was actually able to transfer over six hundred and seventy eight photos and one hundred and twenty 4k videos in one connection session without a disconnect. This is a feat unmatched by any other cables, including the genuine Apple cables that came with my iPhone. Definitely a quality product from Insignia and something I would recommend for anyone needing a reliable USB-C connector to Lightning connector cable for charging and data transfers. The cable has an attached flexible band so when you wrap up the cable it stays wrapped and doesn't unwind. Hopefully the integrity of the cable remains over time and it retains its flawless data connection capabilities. Great cable.

Durable and affordable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Review for Insignia™ - 4' USB-C to Lightning Charge-and-Sync Cable with Braided Jacket - White With the switch to USB-C, more and more of my power blocks are made for this standard, but my current iPhone continues to require a Lightning connection. This cable seems like a perfect addition. I’ve always liked Insignia products for their quality and affordability. This cable is no different! It’s well made, durable and such a great replacement for the plastic coated cable that’s been slowly disintegrating in my car. The braided jacket on this cable is so much more durable and claims to withstand 15,000 bends. The ends are solid and well-constructed to resist wear and tear. The soft, stretchy plastic cable tie included makes it easy to wrangle excess cable. All in all, a very nice cable, especially for the price. I’ve tried a number of brands over the years, but always find that the Insignia products offer equal quality at a reduced price. I’ll continue to purchase them for this reason.

Better Than OEM
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this cable for a few days and I am very impressed with it's over-all build quality and included cable wrap that is very usable and re-useable. The clasp is silicone or rubber (not sure - one of the two for sure) and stretches over the secure point to anchor itself well. It's a cable wrap you will want to keep and most likely will not toss out 10 minutes after you open the package. The color is very (bitten fruit - like) and the metal ends add a very elegant albeit minimalistic feel. The aluminum ends are a welcome touch and are a huge upgrade to the normal plastics used in these types of cables from other manufacturers and will provide an extra layer of durability and dependability. As for functionality, the lightning cable performs just as you would expect it to. No issues at all. My transfer speeds are concurrent with what the manufacturer of the Lightning technology states (around 480 mb/s). I can whole-heartedly recommend this over the OEM (bitten fruit) variation.

A quality cable with a braided covering
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seems like I can never have enough charging cords and I ruin them quickly. This has so much to do with the quality and construction of the cable itself. The functionality of the cable is also often dependent on the quality of the connections. I was very impressed with the quality and construction of this braided cable and it worked perfectly with my very finicky automobile sound system. I have experienced several failures in the past and this one is perfect. Starting with the construction, this one is not made out of the typical vinyl covering that less expensive models are covered with. This cable is covered with a very high quality braided cloth material that appears to be constructed to last for quite some time. It has a nice cable retaining strap to keep it neat and tidy when not using it, eliminating it from becoming tangled. I chose the seven foot length, as I plan to use it primarily in my automobile. That is the perfect length for my purposes. It is available in other lengths as well. I will replace my other cables with this model, as the quality is superior to any others that I am using.

The Charging Cable you are Looking for
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This USB-C to Lightning cable from Insignia is high quality and at a value. It's evident that Insignia devoted considerable time and effort to craft this charging and data transfer cable. The braided design not only adds convenience but also enhances neatness when storing it for future use, ensuring it withstands the test of time. Its sleek, white and silver appearance creates a premium look, with the aluminum ends providing a satisfying heft. The charger ends are thoughtfully designed without grip, making it easy to disconnect from your device or charger effortlessly. I coupled this cable with a high-wattage USB-C charging brick, and it delivered lightning-fast charging for my iPhone 14 Pro Max. With a data transfer rate of 480 Mbps, it's well-suited for significant data transfers, excellent for a MacBook Pro users like me. The generous 7-foot length proves ideal for various situations. There was no the need to remove my phone case when charging. The added bonus of the included cable organizer/silicone strap is a thoughtful touch, enhancing the overall experience.

Tough cable!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bottom Line: this cable aids in the transition away from USB-A and should be durable for almost all use cases. Pro: braided cable; little to no flex near connector heads Review: This is a braided cable with a Lightning connector on one end and a USB-C connector on the other. I have it connected to a 65w GAN power charging brick, and it does a good job charging my iPad mini 6 quickly. In my experience, braided cables hold up really well (I have never had one tear) and I expect this cable to be just as durable. Typically the failure points are where the connector head is, since this spot experiences a lot of flex. I haven’t noticed any flex on this cable in that area, and I have mine pretty tightly pulled around the corner of my desk. The cable also comes with an attached rubber tie, and so you can wrap and stow the cable neatly when not in use. Overall, it’s a well made cable that should hold up for use with Apple devices that still have a Lightning connector and I expect to get years of use from it.

Sturdy cable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the nicer charging cables I’ve come across. My 8 year is notorious for breaking our charging cables and ripping them around where they attach. He also has a tendency to wrap cables around his fingers and pull on them, which also causes the cable to tear and disconnect from itself. This cable has a safeguard that will help prevent the connector from separating from the cover. The braided weave will also help prevent the cable from tearing if you pull on it, or are exceptionally hard on your cables. Overall, the cable is thicker, heavier and feels more sturdy than the charging cables I received with my devices. This is also nicer than most other cables I’ve purchased. This cable features a braided nylon type of covering that will ensure it lasts for a long time. This type of weave also helps the cable from getting knotted up, and it’s less likely to fold up on itself. I really like that the cable is 10 feet, so I can keep my iPad or phone charged and comfortable use it at the same time.

Good quality!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Insignia makes very good products. When you are an iPhone user you will always say there words “where did my charging cord go?” This one is easily distinguishable because it actually has a nice braided cord and also the ends seem more high quality as well. I used it and can’t say for sure if it charges my phone faster but I am at least not concerned of cracking the cord like so many of the ones that come packaged with the phone. I like the 7” size as it’s not too crazy big where it is all over the place but also not something too short either. If this was to be used in my car I would probably have opted for the insignia 4 or 5 inch size instead. The color is white which is fine. Other then that I can’t say anything negative about it really it does exactly what you can expect it to do. The only thing I would say I wish was different would be if I had two! Maybe if somehow it can replicate itself! But in all seriousness this is a good product and I am pleased to have it in my house for my phone.
