I'm sure this is a good cable but..

Most newer laptop's don't have the connection end on the laptop for the ethernet end to plug in. You need to get a adaptor to make work. Wish they would mention that on the package.

I got a 50ft spool because i needed to run across a room tell i re-drywall my house. Does not seem to effect the speed with the 50 foot length and that was my biggest fear. So very happy with that but i think if i start going any further out it mite slow my gigabit system down a bit.

She needed to set up her computer and two large monitors from her work at our dining room table. The modem is in the laundry room, so having along ethernet cable was mandatory. I was so happy to be able to find this one at our local Best Buy! It works great and, as an extra plus, the grey cable matches the decorating in our house!
