A good Tablet for the price

I was looking to replace a iPad with a tablet that has better support and compatibility was the majority of applications available. Since Android is the leader in the industry I reviewed many models and their capabilities. After try numerous models at Best Buy I decided this Insignia met my requirements better than any other model. The fact that a keyboard is included swung my decision. I occasionally am on the road on vacations and always have WiFi available but using a virtual keyboard can be cumbersome. The detachable keyboard allows me use it as a tablet or a laptop depending on my needs. The USB port also allows for a mouse or additional storage like a portable hard drive. I highly recommend the unit but advise not to expect to be fast in processing like a laptop.

My laptop died but I'm on a budget. I was super excited to find this tablet with a keyboard for under $200 around Xmas time.
The good: long battery life
The bad: Very slow and even slower when attached to the keyboard. Also, when I type, every thirty seconds the insertion point jumps to wherever the cursor is. I'm constantly having to delete errors and move the insertion point back to the proper spot. Also, every other minute, I get an error message saying that an app (that I never opened) has stopped and if I wish to wait or close it. If I restart the tablet, it works for about 10 minutes max before it starts freezing or popping up error messages again. Once it slows down, it takes at least ten seconds after I click a link (or the triangle, circle or square button on the bottom) before anything happens. My smartphone works more quickly.

This is a very good, inexpensive tablet if you don't plan on carrying it around. Quite heavy compared to others. Nice big screen.

I love that this can be used as a laptop, and I love the size of it. I had to download some wallpapers for it, since it only had one as default. As described by associates, it is bare bones on many of Android's functions. It has issues with at least two games, though.

Nice large android device. Had to return due to back heating up. Could not keep on on lap or touch at times it got so hot.
The screen while large does not scale well with android so at times fonts appear fuzzy/soft.
Android also would not correctly orientate itself leaving app in portrait mode while using the keyboard.
So even at a great price it would not cut it. I picked up it's Windows 10 version (3rd try) and much better.

This is a good tablet for home use. It is fast, has a clear screen, and enough space for storing files. I use it to watch movies, search informatiin, and play games. The camera takes good pictures.

This table is a great standalone tablet and the keyboard addition is a plus. Great screen resolution, touchscreen accuracy and processing speed. Easy to setup, great battery life and there is no need to charge the keyboard as with other tablets. Definitely would recommend this tablet for any age group.

Bought this as a gift for a family member who isn’t tech savvy. Was easy to setup and is user friendly. The built in keyboard is very high quality and sleek looking. Great for anyone who prefers using a physical keyboard.

PEOPLE ARE VERY NICE BUT THEY COULD OFFER TO LOOK UP IT ON LINE AS I SAVED HALF PRICE ON THIS ITEM. I LOVE THE 2 IN 1. THE ONLY THING I CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT IT IS THE FACT THAT IT'S HEAVY. THIS IS WHY I DIDN'T GIVE IT 5 STARS. OTHERWISE I'M VERY HAPPY WITH IT.

I buy bought this device just to continue just with my Online Medical Assistant course and etc..... I've had this 1week n starting to be slow..
Another thing, the tablet output-port (plug in) is not any Micro USB, Trapezoid USB, nor an Apple USB..
It's a oval, total circle. Small Oval Port goes on device and to plug it to Adapter, it's same port, Oval, just larger size.
This was very disappointing.

Bought 4 of these for christmas presents and 1 wouldn't connect to the internet and 1 is so slow you give up on it or it times out. The other 2 work great. They need better quality control for better rating. But Best Buy does a great job backing up their products.

Bought this for my Mom. She has been intimidated by computers for decades, and I wanted to get something for her that I could "trick" her into thinking WAS NOT a computer, so she would just play games and not have to think about anything else. No logging in, no password...just swipe and play.
It worked. She loves it.
(of course, it's a really good tablet as well, but don't tell her)
