I'm extremely happy with the quality of this fan. It's not easy to find metal fans like I had in my room as a child. Other reviewers mention the noise-and it is fairly loud. But it's white noise, which is awesome for my tinnitus. Other sounds, like frogs and rain, haven't had the same effect as the familiar sound of a metal blade fan. I chose to pick it up at the store, and the box was crushed and had been opened, checked, and re-taped by BB employees. I asked if it could still be returned if I had a problem with its operation, and the young attendant rolled her eyes and said, "It's only a fan!" I'm thinking, Yep, with a motor that relies on intricately moving parts. I almost left it there at that point, but I'm glad I ignored the help and brought this home. It has a small footprint, looks nice, and I think it has more forceful airflow than my ceiling fan. But it's great, even on low, for my intrusive tinnitus that keeps me awake at night.

Excellent product, great price, fast shipping, easy assembly. Doesn't get much better than that!!l The fan is pretty cool looking (chrome - shiny silver), and it is solid metal...no cheap, cheesy plastic that warps, flops around, and breaks easily. It has 3 quality speeds that does the job perfectly. I bought 2 fans, for each daughter to use bedside (they both have loft beds and heat rises...) They work perfectly. Neither has to worry about the other and have their own personal comfort level. Excellent product for and even better price!

Excellent fan, puts out a lot of air and looks very stylish. Well made and worth the little extra money. This is not a mini desk fan so if mini is what you are looking for this is not the fan for you. You can't get this kind of power in a mini fan. Love, Love, Love.

Great quality and a great price on sale for $30. Not sure I would pay $50 but it pushes a lot of air, the angle is adjustable, it oscillates and looks good. Not much more you can ask from a fan...the true test will be to see how long it lasts, that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

This fan looks great, and moves air very well. It is solidly built and seems just as nice if not better than the Vornado ones that cost more than twice as much! I did knock off a star because it is a lot louder than expected. On the lowest setting it isn’t too bad, but on 2 or 3 it’s much much louder than any fan I have had before. Still a great product, just make sure it’s not too loud if you are going to use it as a bedroom fan for sleeping.

We bought this fan for our daughters bedroom and it works perfectly. Good power settings and surprisingly quiet on the lowest setting. I looked at several different fans before purchasing this one and all of the plastic fans were very loud even on the lowest setting. They had on of these on display at the local store and I was impressed. Very solid and good quality.

This fan is exceptionally quiet for the power that it puts out, blowing very effectively and cooling even large rooms with ease. This plus the fact that it's well-made and stylish makes it an easy purchase decision.

This fan is classically styled. The color and quality of this product is exceptional. My money was well spent! Selected it from Best Buys website and I am very happy with it.

This fan is well built sturdy and very powerful. Air flows strong and cool or let's say cold. I was very surprised how sturdy and cool it is. Lives up to its name--Retro-- Well built.

We love the antique feel of this fan. It is well built and does what it's supposed to. Pros: - it's PURDY! - it blows air - piug and play CONS: - the oscillating knob wasn't working on the first one so we had to return it. - it is a bit loud - it has about a 3.5 foot radius for you to feel the air - it oscillates kinda fast.

This fan is nice looking and appears to be well made. It is quiet also. The fan guard is a little difficult to remove for cleaning, but not too bad.

I was looking for a high quality, metal retro-look fan to add to or replace the white, plastic fan I already have. I read all the reviews and bought it based on the fact it was supposed to be fairly quiet and powerful at the same time. I found it to be much louder than my plastic fan and not as powerful... but I tried to like it because it's so well made and looks great. Unfortunately, I couldn't have it in the bedroom while trying to sleep and in the living room, it wasn't providing enough air circulation. I have a small house so the rooms are not large. Disappointed, I returned it and am still searching for a great fan.

Sleek retro look, made of metal. Appears to be very good quality. Speed control on the top, so easier to change the speed. Quiet enough. Happy so far.

I bought this same fan a year ago in gunmetal so when I saw it come up on one of Best Buy's daily deals I grabbed two of them in copper. The copper isn't anywhere near like the copper color of a penny - the photo online is a good representation of the actual color. I'd describe it as a brushed version of the gunmetal (i.e. like 'brushed' nickel'). This fan is sturdy and all metal construction. I very seldom feel the need to use anything higher than the lowest (1) setting as it moves a lot of air.

It gets hot in my office and this fan moves a lot of air. Good build quality and I dig the retro look.

The fan distributes a nice flow of air. The speed setting is manual and at the highest the fan is slightly on the loud side. The fan does seem solidly built.

A friend owned this fan for a year and I was always impressed with the strength of the fan motor, and the quality of the build - so I eventually bought one myself. I have been extremely satisfied with it so far. It is made of heavy, durable metals - reminding me of fans built in the 50's. The three fan speeds and oscillation work exactly as intended.

All metal. Seems high quality. Moves a lot of air. Great for the price!
