I needed a new freezer for my utility room, but struggled to find one with a smaller footprint and modern design. This Insignia freezer fits the bill perfectly. If you're in need of an extra freezer or refrigerator to store food, give this one a look. PROS: - Perfect size to serve as an extra freezer for food storage. - I love that the temperature can be easily adjusted via the display on the front or through an app. It can even be converted to a refrigerator which is extremely convenient. - Four rows of glass shelving and a drawer offer ample space for food storage. - Bright lighting makes it easy to see when the door is open. - Beautiful stainless steel finish, which is almost impossible to find in a freezer this size. - Perfect delivery and haul-away service by Best Buy. CONS: - None!

Was hesitant to purchase a upright freezer vs. The traditional deep freezer but didn't want to take up too much space in the garage. Primary use was for breastmilk and it was perfect. Keep the gold frozen and safe. Had a few power outages and everything stayed solid with no issues. Would definitely recommend.

I love it, it freezes the produce quick. However, the suction is so tight, you must pull the door with strength and that makes the freezer move. I can live with it.

I really like this well priced Freezer. I think it is a good value thus far. We buy a lot of food from Costco and there is plenty of space to stock up on products. It's the perfect size for our space. I also appreciate the frost free component as my teens/college aged kids during the summer will be opening it quite frequently as they stare at the food waiting for something to jump out and make itself for their lunch (do other people's kids do this too?). Now I don't have to stress about all the frost they are creating. Overall I have been very happy. Of note, you have to give the door a good pull to open this and it will sometimes slide the unit around. I'd rather that so that I can guarantee a good seal on the door than an easy opening door that you can't trust. I also like that our grandbaby won't be able to open it. But I did see that some people complain about this. Just be aware gong in.

This is a great freezer so far. The stainless steel finish is a huge plus as well as the glass inserts instead of the wired. Worth the extra money. The outside digital display helps a lot as well. Insignia seems to be a company with the times unlike these older companies, just stick to their old molds, never getting with the times. Only one complaint is that I haven't been able to get the WiFi to work on it yet. Most likely because I'm using a router 5GHz and this freezer wants 2.4Ghz. Just guessing. Haven't had a chance to find out.

The ~14 cubic foot size is a great middle ground between the 6 cf that are not frost-free and the 20 cf that are too big. I'm not going to use the wi-fi feature - connecting your appliances to the internet just screams "hack my house, please!" (I have 2 degrees in comp sci I know what I am talking about). And WHY would you need to control your freezer from your phone ?!? Duh.... It is convertible to "refrigerator mode" which could come in handy some day....it's attractive, the glass shelves and interior light make it very easy to see everything. It is also lockable. I set the temp for zero degrees on the digital display and checked it with a stand-alone thermometer placed on the middle shelf of the unit. Zero exactly. Can't find anything to gripe about so far....if longevity is good this is a 5-star product...

Needed a freezer in the kitchen. Just the right size and one of the few stainless steel options I could find. Glass shelves keep stuff from dripping into the lower areas. I docked one star since there is no way to turn off the wifi.

I used to own a chest type freezer. I hated it. It was hard to organize, felt like I was always digging to find something. I love this freezer, you can open the door and see everything. It has shelves on the door that makes it easy. Plus a large drawer in the bottom for extra storage. You could use it as refrigerator or freezer. I needed the extra freezer space. I looked at other places for a long time couldn't find one that I liked. They were either the standard White or too big. I just wanted a smaller freezer to keep in my dining room. That would go with my other stainless appliances. This worked out perfect. Thank you for making a great product. Kay M

Really like this freezer. It’s perfect for smaller spaces. Plenty of space, and easy to change temp controls. I like that it also can change to a refrigerator if needed.

Very quiet, frost free freezer. Just the right size for family of two. Love the fingerprint resistant stainless steel with eye level controls.

I was looking for a small stainless freezer. I came upon the Insignia™ - 13.8 Cu. Ft. Frost-Free Upright Convertible Freezer/Refrigerator in Stainless steel and gave it a try. So far so good. It seems to be working as designed. Had it a month with no problems. Very nice glass shelves inside. Bigger than I needed but the price was fair. I like having the controls on the outer door. It is easy to operate. Plugged it in and set the temperature on the door and it went to work. Delivery was excellent and on time.

Love the new freezer. Perfect size for what we needed. And the stainless steel finish is what we need for our outside freezer.

When I heard Best Buy was making its own lines of appliances under the insignia brand I laughed. But this freezer has so many little features and such an amazing build quality I don’t know why every other fridge and freezer don’t copy them. The build quality is amazing and you can see all the details of that when you use it. You get a welcome ding when you open it that for whatever reason is kind of nice. The light is slightly blue and nicer to look at than dim halogen or bright white led. It has WiFi features to let you know if it isn’t closed all the way or something requires your attention. But you’ll always close it all the way because of the thick rubber seals and strong magnets in the door. Best freezer I’ve ever owned hands down.

This can be a freezer or refrigerator. I use it as a freezer without using the Wi-Fi feature. You can't adjust the temperature until after 42 hrs. as stated in the user's guide. Keeps things very cold! Economical and fits great in small areas. It's also very quiet. I love this freezer.

Very quiet and efficient with digital controls and sleek design

We were and are very pleased with ours. Delivery was quick, but I had to ask them to level it. No problem so far, but we are not using the wifi capability. Temps remain at or belo the temperature setting and its 100 + degrees in the garage. Coouldn’t resist with the Memorial day pricing!

I already had a freezer so i just needed a fridge and this is perfect. Display is simple to use and you can see the degrees versus turn a dial and hope for the best. I do not use the Wifi feature and dont care to. I see no reason for that but to each its own

Purchased this freezer after I got tired of the deep freezer chest I had. It’s so much more easier to grab what I need for dinner without having to empty half the freezer to find it. Great quality and love the shelves on the door.

I've had this freezer for 5 weeks and it works great. It stays very cold and I didn't mess with the app as other reviews said if you do, it might change to refrigerator mode on its own. I haven't used the app and it hasn't changed. Great freezer!
