Not working after one year

There was no warning that the temp had dropped. I opened it up and everything in the top half of the freezer had thawed and water was dripping. It was fine the day before. The bottom half is still frozen. I am very disappointed. We use it to mainly preserve the food we grow in the spring and summer to get us through to the following spring and most of it was lost. We had an old chest freezer for years and thought an upright would be a nice upgrade.

Now I purchased this freezer specifically for temp alarm and connectivity. Have not been able to connect. Not impressed with how difficult this process has become.

The freezer will switch to refridgerator mode on it's own. Have already lost about $200 worth of food. We thought the reset was an accident so after reset we didn't touch it for a couple days and again we found it in refrigerator mode. A search on the internet shows this is a long time and well known problem that insignia cares to do nothing about.
