Freezer / Fridge - Switching
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had delivered on Monday. Setup to operate in Freezer mode. Tuesday.... in Freezer mode Connected to WIFI and the Insignia Connect app. Wednesday morning I discovered it switched to Fridge mode in middle of night. Manually placed back to Freezer mode Thursday morning discovered it switched back to Fridge mode. Placed back to Freezer mode. Friday, discovered it went back to Fridge mode. Discconnected from WIFI. Placed back in Freezer mode. Will check Saturday morning to see if it switches back to Fridge May be an app glitch. Luckily I have not filled it with frozen food items

Refrigerator Door Seal Issues

The door is prone to opening without cause, nothing is protruding inside the refrgerator to prevent it from having a good seal. Over time it has become more frequent. I tried several times to get Insignia customer serivce on the phone to no avail. I was transferred from department to department never getting to the team responsibile for the refrigerators. I do not suggest purchsing this brand.

Waste of money

In the last 3 months I've had to clean out my freezer and throw away all the contents twice. For some reason the freezer will randomly change to refrigerator mode cause everything to thaw. Contacted support and they weren't very helpful. Had no reason for why this happened even though it is connected to there servers. Also would only look into a refund on the food if I had receipts. I'm sorry but who keeps food receipts. The only thing they said we could do was wait another month or so and see if this happens again. The smart features of this product is a joke. You can adjust the temp in the mode it's in and see what settings is currently at but that's it. Not able to change any other settings and no alerts which is one of the advertised features. Overall I would suggest not buying this unless you want to spend more money on replacing food then you did on the freezer.

Insignia Freezer

There are no error codes to explain what the issue is. This means it worked for 3 years, 2 months, 16 days. Would you buy a product knowing it would only last that long?

switches from freezer to fridge on it's own
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.5 times now the unit switched by itself from freezer to fridge. we have lost all the food in the freezer 4 times the last time it switched we caught it after it switched but before everything was completely thawed. I now check the temp everyday and when we are out of town I have someone come by and check the temp.

Freezer/fridge doesn't stay in selected mode

And we're out of town for a few days. Bye bye food. Will best buy cover the losses? Needless to say it's going back

Keeps switching to fridge mode
