The fridge function does not get cold enough to keep food from spoiling. It's set as cold as the fridge will go (35F) but its actual temp is well above 40F which is out of the food-safe range. I have it inside in a temp controlled space with plenty of ventilation. I plugged it in for 48 hours and it never got below 40F.

This is a nice, roomy deep freezer for the price. We've had it for 6 months or so, and it's worked without any issues. I've checked the temperature on each shelf, and it's within a few degrees anywhere in the freezer. My only complaint is that the door magnets are so strong that it's difficult to open. Literally, if I don't give it a quick thrust, it will move the freezer (even while loaded with food). You won't have to worry about the door accidentally opening!

I Purchase a insignia freezer/ Refrigerator and was disappointed in it. The next few days there was frost and ice buildup all over. Now it’s getting worse by the day with more ice buildup on the frozen food and ice tray. I am returning it and hopefully will get one that works the way it should.... Frost free!!

Delivered with broken shelf (plastic arount shelf broken, plastic is part of structure that holds shelf on sides of freezer. did not notice until after delivery men left. Chatted with Best Buy, and all they could offer was a discount, or a return. Called insignia, shelf is not an item that they sell.

The freezer got to freezing in a hot garage here in Texas in just a couple hours. So far it looks awesome and does its job freezing even with very little in there. Getting a little over a 1/4 calf to store in there soon, hopefully plenty of room. Will have to see and come back if longevity is an issue. Delivery team also did a great job, swift, careful, and knowledgeable. Side note this freezer is quieter than my fridge in the house so not sure where the complaints of it being loud are coming from. If it’s loud, there’s likely a problem.

The two men that set up the fridge had missing pieces and they took pictures of it and they told me that Best Buy would come back out and fix it but that is a lie. SHOP ELSEWHERE.

Plenty of room and extremely quiet. We keep this in the family room filled with drinks and healthy snacks. Keeps everything cold. I didn't need a freezer and I'm glad to have more room for other things instead. Plus no worries that things in the back will freeze. Only issue: when I loaded the door withbottles, it kept popping open. I couldn't find an easy stand to help level on the carpet, which might have helped. Still, great unit. We had to drive a ways to find one in stock but was worth it.

Purchased this freezer to use in the garage to replace a 23 year-old Frigidaire. I am impressed how quiet this one is and holds at zero degrees with no issues. The interior light is super-bright and the bottom storage drawer is quite large. No regrets on my purchase.

Pros - freezes quickly and stays at temperature, quiet operation, door seals securely and takes a good tug to open so kids can't accidentally open it, display dims after you close the door. Cons - not really a con, but I prefer wire shelves for airflow. In a freezer you don't have to worry about liquid spills as in a fridge.

I am so happy with this upright freezer. It will be much more convenient than the chest freezer that I have had, since my food inventory will be much more visible and easier to keep track of and I won't have to stand on my head anymore to get something out of the bottom of the freezer. The real bonus is that this freezer can convert to a refrigerator for seasonal refrigerator overflow! I will keep my old chest freezer for a backup for this reason. It is self defrosting, so no more hooking a hose to it to drain the water out of the bottom. It is an Energy Star appliance which means I can get a rebate from my utility company. All of this plus the great price made this purchase a win win purchase!

It's quiet. It has very easy to use temperature controls. It is very roomy. I love it! The only con I have for it is that I have a stone floor where the freezer is, and because of how strong the magnetic seal on the door is when I open it the freezer slides a little bit. That might be because it's not full yet, and not a deal breaker for me.

I wasn’t sure about the quality of the Insignia brand, but reviews were very positive. After having it for a month now, I understand why!! This has been perfect since day 1. Absolutely no issues. Best Buy delivered it and placed it right where I wanted it in the garage. They plugged it in and it has just worked since. The freezer got to 0° very quickly and has maintained that temp. I can set that up or down if I choose but everything is solid at zero. A cool attribute of this freezer is that you can change it to a refrigerator if you need that instead. For me, this is a great smaller size unit yet still big enough to pack in a bunch of Costco ice cream, steaks, pizzas, etc. I love it and would highly recommend it!
