I bought the 21 cu ft one first for the basement. I love that it's a fridge or freezer. Loved it so much, I bought this smaller one. It actually fits so much and i'm exstatic about my purchase. might have to get another one in the future.

I needed to buy a new fridge for my garage, and this was an excellent choice. I purchased two units, one is uded as a fridge and the other as a freezer. Going this route was much better than buying a larger single unit that does both. As for why, the extra space is impressive. Lasty, I find the unit to runs very quietly and is easy to use.

So far, it's great! Excellent delivery. Fits space perfectly. Keeps right temp. Looks beautiful.

This freezer has a lot of room on both the shelves as well as in the door. It fits perfectly in the garage and is very quiet. When you open the door, the temperature inside the freezer shows on the outside of the door which is a great feature. Would definitely recommend.

We love this refrigerator/freezer. It is just the right size to fit in the garage. We waited 24 hours for the unit to convert to a freezer before adding food after the freezer was delivered. This was recommended by the delivery person but the freezer was ready for use in about 2 hours. The shelves are clear glass and there is a large crisper drawer on the bottom. The freezer runs quietly and so far we are very pleased. The freezer holds a lot of food.

It does what it's supposed to do: keep foods frozen. The interior light and glass shelves make finding things easy. It is very quiet. Don't know about longevity since I've only had it a month. But so far so good. It's my first upright and like it so much better than my old chest freezer.

Freezer works great. It was a great price, too. Not too big or too small. Just the right size.

I bought this to replace a much larger freezer. The freezer this replaced lasted almost 25 years! This freezer packs a lot of room in a small footprint. I like the way the shelves are laid out and the storage space on the door is great! It’s quiet and easy to open. I bought this for my parents both who are into their 80s. The size is perfect for them and the fact that you don’t need to be the Hulk to open the door is nice. That being said, the door does make a very good seal. Are there better freezers out there? Of course! But for the price point and quality, this one is hard to beat. I would buy this again. We have a chest freezer in our house that is over 15 years old. When it’s time to replace it, I’m replacing it with this freezer. Just because Insignia is Best Buy’s budget line, it doesn’t mean the quality is poor.

We love this convertible freezer so much that we have three of them. They are so convenient because you can set it as a refrigerator OR a freezer. We first stumbled on these when we were getting ready to remodel our kitchen and needed a place to store food in the garage. We bought 2 at that time and set one as a refrigerator and the other as a freezer. It was 2x the storage we could have gotten for half the price, and it is almost like having a restaurant-quality setup. We recently purchased a third, much smaller unit for drinks in our basement. They are sturdy, reliable, and adaptable units. I could not be more pleased with this purchase.

I've owned several brands and types of freezers so please take note that this review is from someone that has had previous experiences that warrants an honest review of this product. The first and most important thing about this freezer is the seal. Believe it or not but most "standard" freezers don't have a commercial seal. When I say commercial seal I mean the type that you have to nearly jerk the handle off b/c it has such a tight seal and one that will stand up to "commercial" type use. Though I don't have to open my freezer often I know the seal will handle constant use. I can close and open this for 10 minutes straight and each time I have to jerk the door with some strength to get it open. Without a good seal a freezer is pointless. The features are great being able to be used as a fridge or a freezer. Everyone could use an extra fridge so even if your lifestyle changes and you no longer need a freezer it will get used as a fridge. This is one of the larges I have owned and I am very pleased with the size. I have baskets on shelves organizing my frozen items. Though I could pack more in not using them but I'm an organizational freak and having enough room allowing me to sort with baskets makes me super happy. I have this in a very small laundry room and I'm surprised it doesn't produce a lot of heat. I fully expected the room to be hot after running my washer and dryer and this being in there, however I didn't notice any difference than it was prior to putting the freezer in the room. I'm glad I went ahead and spent the extra money for a higher quality freezer.

The unit works perfectly. We love the option of being able to use this as a refrigerator or freezer. We are using this freezer/refrigerator in our outside shed do store our ice creams, freeze pops, steaks, and all the other things for our cook outs. Definitely a great buy!!

Good size for the space. Lots of room and shelves for organizing.

I have been so happy with this freezer. It hold the cold temperature well, the size allows it to hold much more than we anticipated, and it is quiet with a sleek look.

I have had my new freezer for about one month. It has been absolutely terrific. I selected the black with stainless steel door. It is a great additional freezer for my garage. It arrived without any flaws, no dents or dings. I opted to set it up myself rather than pay the additional fee. I am glad I did because all I had to do was put the door handle on, which was simple. It operates silently, no noise at all. I like the glass shelving, the bottom storage drawer and the door shelves. I was a bit hesitant at first because I have never purchased any Insignia products before. I looked at many options for my garage freezer needs. However, I did not want white and I wanted auto defrost. I found most freezers are white and any smaller than this size is not frost free. I highly recommend this product and am confident that I will enjoy it for years to come.

This is a great freezer. I was worried about this being a "real freezer" due to its ability to convert to fridge, but so far, its great. Nice size - holds ton of food and bins. Adjustable glass shelves, deep bottom full plastic (not wire) drawer, & lots of door shelves. Makes no noise - very quiet - I keep mine in my kitchen. I agree with others you need to ensure you shut the door manually and push firm - but I do that anyway. This is worth the money and I would buy again.

I had purchased an Insignia chest freezer at the beginning of the quarantine shutdown in 2020. Freezers were in high demand and choices were limited. The Insignias were in stock and the prices were good. I had never purchased this brand before so I didn't know what to expect. The chest freezer worked great, quiet and froze quickly....however chest freezers tend to get annoying very quickly with trying to dig through and locate what you need and becomes unorganized very quickly. So finally these Insignia upright models came back in stock and I purchased one. The size to price ratio is hard to beat compared to other brands. I really like the digital temp gauge and how it's easy to set an actual temperature versus just a knob with a 1-10 number. It has a good amount of space, the shelving is perfect to keep it organized, the bottom bin is great for bagged foods, the bonus door storage space, not to mention it has a light inside which is unheard of with a freezer. The build quality is nice and solid, and the door seals tight. I mainly bought this to be a freezer but it is such an incredible bonus to be able to just covert this to a fridge if I ever wanted to. I would definitely buy another one of these if I needed another freezer or refrigerator.
