I bought this convertible UPRIGHT FREEZER as a replacement for a chest freezer of the same make from Best Buy, which performed admirably for longer than seven years. The Insignia 13.8 Cu. Ft. Garage Ready Convertible Upright Freezer with ENERGY STAR Certification – White, blends in esthetically well and aligns with the existing appliance configuration in my kitchen. One month plus, since purchase and with Best Buy professional installation, the Insignia 13.8 Cu. Ft. Upright Freezer has worked flawlessly, maintaining a constant temperature of -2 degrees Celsius, inside the freezer, as monitored and recorded by two digital wireless Fridge and Freezer thermometers, placed at different locations inside the freezer. The food items have remained well-preserved and access to them has been a breeze compared to having to dig through them when they were inside the freezer section of the regular refrigerator or the chest freezer.

The freezer works well. A good amount of space. Cools quickly and very quiet. I wish you could change the shelf layout more but otherwise it’s great. The only negative I have and nothing to do with the unit is that it came with a scratch on the front.

So far this has worked great. It can be all freezer or all refrigerator but not both. This is acting as our basement deep freeze. We now need a second refrigerator for our basement, so we are considering buying a larger version of this model to be the freezer and turn this smaller one into the fridge. It’s nice to have options.

We bought two of these to replace one old extra refrigerator/freezer. The size is perfect for what we needed. We use one as a freezer and one as a refrigerator. Work great so far and run gery quietly.

This is a great medium size freezer, and I appreciate not having to reach down into a chest freezer. I like the option of it being a refrigerator as well. There is plenty of room.

I love this freezer. It runs quietly. It is frost-free. And it is a stand-up freezer. All I have to do is open the door and I can see on every shelf what I have. This freezer holds a lot. I installed it in my laundry room. This was a great purchase. Thank you Best Buy!

I bought this for my son in Colorado when he began brewing his own beer. What we liked about this was it was convertible and could be a dedicated refrigerator stored in the garage. It is the perfect size, no frills, star certified, everything we were seeking for his new project.

Nice size for 2 to four. Door seals very tight. Very well lit interior. Like the ability to convert to refrigerator. Maintains freezer temp at -17 degrees F when set at lowest temp.

This deep freezer is absolutely amazing! It’s the perfect size and keeps thing nice and frozen. Plus is it can also be a fridge if needed!

It was exactly what I needed.Lots of space with no digging to find what I wanted. I've had no problems or failures of any kind with this freezer. Would definitely recommend it. My sister in law has one also.

This is a huge freezer in a small footprint! The vertical design with glass see through shelves virtually revolutionizes the concept of a freezer. Very easy to use, access and store food. Sensible size door racks are great for holding frozen veggies / fries etc in the bags without cluttering the open shelving. Appearance is of a much more expensive item with the chrome front and outside digital temp display / adjustment. Overall one of the best value appliances I have ever purchased.

Love this freezer/fridge! Will be buying another one to convert to a freezer. We can get so much in it and it keeps food at a perfect temperature. Looks so nice!

Very nice freezer. Wish we had purchased a little larger size but it is a good freezer for the price. We love the option to convert it to a refrigerator if wanted/need.

Love this upright freezer, i wanted until i had it for two months. It has worked great from day one, but really not surprised. When i buy from Bestbuys i try to get Insignia brand, i have Insignia tv,Insignia ice maker and two freezer. I have read bad reviews on here about Insignia products, I have had no problem with any Insignia products i have purchased. Great product, Bestbuys is the first place i look if im in the market for Electronics or appliances.

I wanted to go through a hot summer and cold winter before reviewing since we have ours in the garage. So far, this freezer has been great. We have not used it as a fridge, only as a freezer but has decent amount of space. Frozen pizza's fit perfectly on the shelves, and you can keep smaller items like butter, frozen breakfast sandwiches, frozen veggies, etc on the door. No problems so far.

Delivered on time. Beautiful convertible freezer/refrigerator. Most manufacturers will give you one or the other. The price, the technology and space you get is worth it. You control the temperature setting. Built in LED lights. Ideal for homes, apt or condos with a deep freezer and want only a full refrigerator. You have the option to convert it to either refrigerator or freezer. It had wheels on the back and it can be pushed all the way to the wall if you wish. Excellent appliance. Good for a family of two - four. Great for storage. I’ve had it for about three weeks or more and received compliments. It’s not a modern smart refrigerator but it will provide you with what you need. Perfect for storage, just a refrigerator unit/stand up freezer. Plus you control the temperature settings for both.

This refrigerator/freezer combo has met all of our expectations. It’s been running in our hot garage without any issues for 6 months, and hopefully years to come. We love the locking feature, the fact that it converts, and the display on the front. There is room to fit a ton inside as well.

I’ve been searching for an Upright Freezer for months. I’m not sure why many of the major brands are unavailable at the moment. It really doesn’t matter anymore because my Insignia Upright Freezer operates like any of the major brands around - maybe even better. I purchased the Stainless Convertible Freezer/ Refrigerator. It has more than enough room, is frost free, digital temperature reading and setting can easily be changed to freezer mode or refrigerator mode by the push of a button. I found it very easy to set up and the price was just right. Although, if the white freezer would have been available, I would have purchased that one instead, it was $100.00 lower than this one. I think Insignia is overall a quality brand because I own (4) Insignia TV’s and never had issues.
