Tough to open, but that, to me, is a good thing. Someone left the freezer OPEN, and we almost had a terrible loss of food. I know they left it open BECAUSE it requires a good tug to open. I know when I close it, it's closed, and I like that. GREAT freezing (I use it as a freezer, although it can be used as a fridge too). Very roomy. I can actually see what's in my freezer. I'm very happy with this unit and recommend it.

The freezer itself works perfectly and I love the fact it can be converted into a refrigerator so readily and easily.

I like that I can switch it to a refrigerator if needed. The freezer is AWESOME. It's so roomy. I actually want to buy a second one and use it as nothing but a refrigerator.

Don't just swing the door shut like most refrigerators, it may bounce back open and you won't realize it for a little while until it starts chiming at you

Excellent Upright Convertible Freezer/Refrigerator

I can see and find all my frozen foods. It has more space and it closes tight so no air escapes nor air comes in. So far, it works so well.

Once I got it set up it hit zero degrees in 4 hours (I had an independent thermometer inside). So far so good and getting it stocked.

I bought this for my basement so I could store large amounts of meat as well as a space for bottles and ice for my basement bar. This thing is perfect. Just the right size and works beautifully

I don't plan to use the convertible option, just the freezer. It keeps everything below zero and has a great seal. There's plenty of room and I really like the door bins.
