We just wanted a standing deep freeze. Great for that, gets super cold. The door starts to "chime" when you have it open to long which is a nice little reminder.

New Freezer

Since we put it in the garage I was concerned with water damage and rust, coming off the garage floor, therefore we left it on the 2" shipping pad.

Others have mentioned the door not closing all the way. I had the same problem. I found this is due to the rubber seal binding against the frame on the hinge side of the door. Putting a very thin coat of petroleum jelly on the mating surface of the gasket solved the issue. Also, make sure you level the unit. The door and frame will not align perfectly or close properly if the unit is out of level.
