Perfect for a family of 4. We separate all items then food save and it is the beat. Utilities have not gone up, we will see and compete next bill. We have had it since mid to late January 2014

Some of the reviews that I read stated that it would freeze everything. Luckily I have not had that issue. I keep it set on 35 degrees. I bought this as a second freezer but end up using it as a refrigerator because it stopped working. Little did I know that the fridge that I ordered would be on backorder for two months. It is small to be a fridge for a family of 5 but we are making it work.

This thing holds a -11 degrees F. I use a low cost weather station "outdoor" sensor by placing in inside the box. Put the other unit on top of the freezer. We don't need a bigger one. We can find everything in here, will manage our frozen reserve food much better from now on.

It works well as designed. Easy to set up and is functioning perfectly.

I love this stuff far. I’m using by as a freezer only and it’s smaller than my last one, but serves its purpose. I am concerned about weight on shelves because it’s geared more toward refrigerating items, but so far so good. I just need not over pack it and I’ll be fine.

We love this freezer, it fits right where we had our chest freezer in the garage. It has so much room, when we emptied our chest freezer into it there was so much more room it wasn't even half full. Now I don't have to dig around looking for something, it's right in view.

It was such a hassle catching this in stock bc I wanted the stainless version since it was going in my basement. It was delivered, which I paid extra for even though it said free shipping on orders $399+, some scratches on it, a good ding in the side where the guy delivering pushed it into a part of my wall that is concrete block & scratched/dented a quarter sized hunk out of it. ONLY THE FRONT IS STAINLESS FYI. Had I known it was only the front that was stainless I wouldn’t just bought the white one for cheaper. The fact it can do freezer OR refrigerator is great!

Love this convertible freezer/refrigerator! Rather than deciding whether to use it as one or the other, I purchased 2! Now I have a stand-alone freezer and a stand-alone refrigerator in my garage for extra food/drinks. Absolutely love that you can convert the unit into either a freezer or refrigerator :)

A good upright freezer may be hard to find but this is it. Delivery was 3 days after purchase. Setup service was eazy peazy. Love the in door shelves. lots of interior space and I can see everything, I don't have to dig for food, I just reach. I placed in my garage, my circuit goes out at times so I also like that the temp is displayed on door

Great upright freezer. We have been purchasing 1/4 cows and 1/2 pigs and didn’t want t chest freezer. Items tend to get lost in the bottom. Having this upright freezer has made it a breeze to organize meats by cuts and the vacuum assist door that kicks in after closing is a nice touch

Needed a replacement quick, many places we checked wouldn't be able to deliver for a few weeks which was not acceptable. I wasn't familiar with the Insignia brand, but doing some quick research it is supposedly made by Haier which makes the GE freezers. In comparing with the GE model it cosmetically is pretty much identical but for $150 or so less I'll go with the lesser known name. So far it is working fine 23 days and counting.

Easy to use, setup. Can be converted from one mode to another. Best feature is locking .

So far so good. This freezer was the answer we were looking for for our additional food storage. Not to big and not to small. Additionally, my wife likes the versatility of the freezer/refrigerator combination -- this really makes a lot of sense. When you close the door it is a little hard to open because it seals so good, but my wife handles it really well. My son just bought one and really likes it too.

The freezer is nice and big. It can store alot of freezen foods and ice creams.
