It worked great for that purpose and now we use it for overflow freezer items. We are now a family of 5 so its great to be able to have extra freezer space. We will be moving soon and will be living with inlaws. we will be changing the function to fridge so that we have extra fridge space with the increase in people. We are also strongly considering getting a second one for our new home and have one set to fridge and one to freezer. We are immensly happy with this purchase.

It’s perfect for me. Only reason for 4 star is the front door has couple areas that look like dents but I think it’s vacuum circles. It is in garage so I don’t care, but would not like it if I had it inside my home Best Buy very supportive to explain converting from fridge to freezer ! I use it as a full fridge , in the winter I will convert it to a freezer for frozen foods.

Perfect size for our basement

We are using it as a freezer and I like the shelves and configuration of drawers and compartments. I love that I will be able to use it as an extra fridge in the future if needed.

I was a little apprehensive getting a larger freezer after my 7.1 Cu. Ft. freezer died, but it was very worth it. There is so much space, and I can actually see what I have in there.

Excellent mid-sized upright!

The on-door temperature reading is a nice bonus. Wish there was a way to lock wheels once it is placed. The seal on the door is so tight that the freezer sometimes moves when opening door.
