I've had mine since June 2022. The convenience of a motion activated lid makes this by far one of the best items I've purchased over the years. The lid opens quickly and with very little motion. I'm on the same set of batteries since my initial purchase. I got it when it was on sale for $40. Plus I had some Best Buy rewards that lowered my actual out of pocket cost. The volume is just over 13 gallons. This allows you to fill the bag completely in between removal. The lid keeps odors in and the lids easy to clean.

I love love love this garbage can. This makes me feel like I have my life all together while using this. It’s simple to set up and easy to use. Stainless steel makes it looks so sleek and goes with any decor.

I like this garbage can, nice design, pretty compact, works well. My old one from another brand broke after a year of using it, hopefully this one will last longer. Got it as a deal of the day, happy with the purchase so far.

Batteries last a long time. Easy to clean stainless exterior. Ring to conceal plastic bag. Motion sensor works from just the right distance as well, and has a hold feature for when you need the lid open for an extended period of time.

Goes great on our kitchen with the stainless steel appliances. Really love how easy the motion sensor is. Yes you have to buy a battery, I believe it’s a D battery. It also has a button you can press to open it with also (if the sensor isn’t fast enough for you). Really like this trash bin a lot.

Good so far, the sensor is super sensitive, I will walk by and the thing will open up. Wish it stayed open a couple seconds longer. I should g complain though. I have no issues with it.

We love this can. It's a little bigger than a standard 13gallon so when it's full and you pull the bag, it's actually full.and the sensor works great and you can press a button for manual control if you're scraping out a pot or off a plate.

My other trashcan broke and this one is perfect in my apartment! You just wave your hand over it and it’ll open! it does require 2 D batteries that are not included!

Bought this trash can when it was on sale. It is a decent nice looking one. At the time of this review I only had it for 2 days. Here's the deal with the sensor(as people have made complaints about it) You DO NOT waive at the sensor, it will not greet back. As the instructions state "Hold your hand or trash inches above the sensor" It takes a split second before it opens. Once I got used to that it seems to be operating ok. I'll see how it does in time though.

The best kitchen trash can in the world. It's clean and you don't need to use your hands to open it up. Wave you hand over the button - IT OPENS - beautiful.

I love this trash can because it's smaller in size to save space, but still a 13 gallon capacity. Not to mention how nice it is with the motion sensor working perfectly each time. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a good trash can.

it is a really neat compact trash can really nice for the kitchen it works every time you need it to. I bought it through deal of the day with Best Buy I would not have paid the original price but for the deal of the day it was excellent.

Love this thing. Works as expected. Not sure how battery life will be, we'll see. Have it about 4 weeks now. Got it for about 50 bux on deal of the day (it used to be 40...thanks Bra...,ah never mind) great stuff.

I love my trash can. Good design, very useful, easy assembly, and the best thing is that I have incredible peace at home with my wife! LOL

I got this on sale and it's pretty nice. Very convenient and it's a good size. Eats through batteries pretty quick even though I don't really use it that much. That's the only downside

*review based on a week of constant usage* So out of the box, it looks brand new and doesn’t show signs of usage. Whether you read instructions or not, you’ll get how easy it is to use the trash can and figure out it’s functions SUPER fast. I would say that like all tech gadgets, this may have some of its own problems that are cumbersome to others. For instance, if you have a shadow overcast onto the sensor, there’s a 75/25 chance it’ll sense your fingers over the sensor bar to open the lid. In the dark, it surprisingly does work?? Weird. But it works. Overall, no issues yet. If it does, the price point was worth it for what we previously had.

I do not like reviewing anything in the first few weeks of ownership, because everything seems great. It is not until you have used it for awhile that do see any glitches or problems or exceptional service. I had a automatic trash can which lasted for years ... until someone sprayed the area where the batteries where housed. Anyway , there had been complaints about the lid on this unit would start to open and close by itself after awhile. Well, it did start to open and close by itself. But if one turns if off for awhile and then turned it back on and it works fine ... for a while. It has happened twice since I have owned it ( Nov. 30, 2021) Still better than the Walmart one I bought which lasted 3 months but did not open by itself, just stopped working. If you do turn it off, at least the corners are shaped so you can open it unlike the last one. And I am not sure the lid closes tight enough so some odor might escape if you put something smelly in it. Also it is smaller than any of the others I owned although they all claim to be the same size.

This can is attractive and a perfect size. The automatic lid works great, and it is a non-contact and useful way to keep trash odors in the can and keep the view of trash covered. Trash bags are easy to put in and take out.

works great so far. I havent had any problems with the lid not working like previous posts said, granite I have only had it for a couple months. Nice size and looks great, definitely worth getting.

There are reviews that say the lid is flimsy, the lid opens when one just walks by, and the opening lid makes noise. I do not think the lid is flimsy, the lid does not open unless my hand is in close proximity, and there is absolutely no noise when the lid opens. I hesitated to purchase this Automatic Trash Can because of some of the negative reviews, but I am very glad I decided to try it for myself. Perhaps some people received trash cans that had the problems stated above, but I am not one of those people. I highly recommend this Trash Can.
