I want to preface this review by saying I am not a wine snob by any means. We are regular wine drinkers but we prefer to stick to sweeter, semi-dry, white wines. 1st off is the packaging. It was very well packaged and came damage free which I am happy to say was a relief as it seems most appliances and large items I have received lately have come with some sort of damage. This had plenty of packing to avoid damage and was easy to unbox. It can easily be moved by one person and it is very attractive. The door shuts very tight and is not hard to open. The door is reversible if you need it to be. I plugged it in and checked the temperature settings against what was listed in the manual with a very accurate thermometer. The cold and normal settings were off by about 5 degrees. In the manual it says normal should be 48 to 59 degrees and it was 43 degrees. The colder setting (which is the coldest) should be 39 to 48 degrees and it was 34 degrees. The cold setting (which is the warmest) was pretty close and was only 2 degrees colder than the specs list. It is nice that in the owners guide it does list the various temperatures that different types of wine should be chilled to. The unit operates very quietly and you don't know when it is running unless you listen very closely. Capacity is as listed. If you have any bottles that are fatter than normal they will have to be stored on the removable bottom rack as they will not fit in the top fixed racks. The only drawback that I see is like any stainless steel appliance it is prone to fingerprints on the stainless but they are easily cleaned up. Overall for our 1st wine cooler I would highly recommend especially at the price point

I have been using this wine fridge for a while and I am admittingly impressed with everything so far. The packaging is nice and simple, pretty much unwrap and put in a good area with airflow. The reason is that the compressor will constantly go off and on in an area of higher heated areas of the house. We have it tucked away in the corner where we have our wine stored. The stainless steel door looks of high quality and the body is darker in color to blend into any type of décor. Once you have removed all the packing stickers and such, you just turn the temperature knob in the fridge to normal and you are good to go. I do like that you can remove the wire racks rather easily to just put whatever you want in there. But for now, wine is the main product to cool for us. In a matter of hours the wine inside was nice and cold and we put 14 bottles in the fridge. You do need to level the fridge for best results so that the door can open and not rock the entire unit. Speaking of the door, you can actually have the door open on the left or the right side. I think that is an overlooked feature, especially if you want to buy two of these units and stack them side by side. The fan is pretty quiet and you will get used to it after a while like any noises in a house. Would I recommend it? If you have limited space oh heck yes. This unit is almost a perfect square but can hold 14 bottles with it's included racks are just well done. Perfect for the price.

Despite some of the negative review warnings, I went ahead and ordered this wine cooler (hoping to be one of those folks who actually received a model that wasn't dented). Nope. Cooler arrived with packaging looking intact, but once packaging was removed, cooler was clearly dented in rear corner. So, the cooler was either: (a). a previously return that was "re-packaged" & sent out to an unsuspecting customer, or (b). dented prior to/during packaging at the manufacturer but still packaged up & sent out to an unsuspecting customer. A disappointment by not a huge shock...based on other reviews.

THIS wine cooler was exactly what I was looking for. This wine cooler was the perfect size for the small space that I have available. looking at other wine coolers I came across this one and not only was the design attractive but it also matched my decor in the den. The stainless steel is so attractive and it matches perfectly. not only does this fridge keep my wine at a perfect temperature, it also keeps sodas cold when we have company for those that do not drink wine. it is their perfect size to be able to sit atop of a table or you can conveniently sit it in a corner and it is does not take up any space. The 14 bottle capacity is just enough to keep wine cool and stored enough bottles to get through a small gathering without having to retreat to a different space to retrieve more wine, I am more that satisfied with this purchase. This cooler does not use much electric at all which makes for a very energy efficient device. This device is a must have, it doesn’t take up space, it’s attractive, and great for those small gatherings or even large gatherings because the capacity is ideal.

In my opinion this particular wine cooler isn’t up to the latest technology. It has a manual knob inside and makes it difficult to have a perfect setting on the temperature. It is actually too large in size for my needs.

The Insignia 14 Bottle Wine Cooler (NS-WC14SS3) is a convenient and well made wine cooler. It is relatively small in size and light weight and could be considered to be transportable from room to room or to your porch. It is reasonably attractive with a stainless steel front door, that is reversible, and interior and a black top and sides. The cooler has feet that are adjustable for unlevel surfaces and wine racks that fit various size wine bottles. Because of the relatively small size, I was able to locate the wine cooler in various locations including on top of my kitchen counter. Operation was quiet and I was able to keep the wine at the correct temperature with the easy to use adjustable thermostat. I recommend the Insignia 14 Bottle Wine Cooler to anyone looking for a smaller size, well made wine cooler. One issue that I had was that the wine cooler arrived with a dent in its side. I believe that this may have occurred during shipping. This was resolved and was not an issue in the end.

This is not a good wine cooler. It pops and pings when chilling. I doubt it will last a year. I would not buy this item again.

Brand new out the box and don't work. Bad wine cooler.

We wasn’t sure if this was something we wanted but after using it for the past few days we like the idea of having several wine options already chilled. Normally we would have one or two bottles of wine in the fridge but with this, we can store up to 14. We set the temperature so that the wine was a little cooler than it would have been in our refrigerator. There’s a small knob in the back where you can adjust. Mine fell off during shipping but it pushes on only one way. We get wine from a mail in service about once every other month with different types of wine from different wineries. We didn’t have any issues fitting them on the racks inside the cooler. The racks are shaped specifically to hold the “typical” wine bottle shape. The cooler is kind of small for the floor but a little large for the counter. We’re looking for a small table we can put it on but if you have the counter space it should work fine. It uses a standard 3 port prong and the cable has good length so placement shouldn’t be too much of an issue. The door has a brushed stainless steel border. The rest of the unit is powder coated black with the back side housing all of the cooling mechanisms. I would have liked to have seen this area covered a bit better with maybe a removable panel. I’m not sure if there’s an engineering reason for this but I’m a bit concerned with it all being open. If you don’t like the direction the door opens, the hinge appears to also be swappable. The only other thing is the compressor makes an audible click when it switches on and off. The cooler itself isn’t any louder than the fridge running but the click is quite a bit louder than the low hum of the unit. If you think this would bother you, the great thing is, it’s small enough and portable enough you can place it just about anywhere you want.

The Insignia 14-Bottle Wine Cooler is a nice, compact wine cooling unit. Following are my observations after testing out this unit. - It came well-packaged and was easy to set up. Just remove from the box, remove packing materials, use the leveling foot to level the unit out, plug it in and set the desired temp and it is ready to go. - It is a compact unit, measuring 18 & 1/2" wide x 17 & 5/16" deep x 19 & 1/2" tall. - It is a free-standing unit and cannot be recessed or built-in. It can be placed on the floor, or on a counter-top or cabinet and needs approximately 4 inches on each side and on top for ventilation. - The door can be reversed if you need to open it the opposite direction. - There is a temperature dial with three temperature settings (Cold = range of 59 - 68 degrees F; or Normal = 48 - 59 degrees F; or Colder = 39 - 48 degrees F) or it can be turned off. The instruction booklet gives various recommended settings for different types of wines. I would have preferred to see the capability to set a specific temperature. For example, if you want to set it at 57 degrees, you have to guess at the right spot on the dial between Cold and Normal. You would need to use a cooking thermometer to ensure you have it at an exact setting if you want a specific temperature. - The wine cooler holds 14 standard wine bottles measuring 11.8" High x 3" in Diameter. The racks are well-designed to make efficient use of the space. This is a nice looking unit and will work well to store the more valuable wines I have collected.

This product was shipped to my house and it was damaged. Upon arrival multiple Denmark’s clearly they dropped it a few times and even punctured the sidewall of the refrigerator. Would’ve been a good fridge if they handled it with more care.

the good: - design - Simple yet smart design. Stainless steel finish looks nicer than its price would suggest. - capacity vs. size - Relatively small size and footprint, but not much wasted space inside. It has 2 racks facing front to back for “normal” sized bottles and a space on the bottom for larger bottles. - adjustable feet and reversible door - Easy leveling and the door can be made to open from either left or right side. - quiet operation the bad: - exact temp control can be a little bit difficult - Ranging from 41F to 64F, there’s not really a way to set an exact temperature. You set a range from “cold” to “normal” to “colder”. Not exactly intuitive, and can take some trial and error to get the temp to exactly where you want it. - shelving feels a little bit flimsy - While not horrible, the shelving feels like it could be a bit sturdier build. Time will tell how long it lasts, but then that much could probably be replaced relatively cheaply. The more expensive refrigeration components do seem to be a better quality than the shelving. overall: Overall this compact little cooler is a good buy at this price point, certainly if you don’t need a ton of wine cooled or have a lot of room. I actually keep my reds in it, as well as some bourbon bottles, just to keep them a little cooler than room temp. 4 stars, removing one star for the temp control, though ultimately you probably won’t change the temp setting once you get it where you want it.

Bought as a Christmas gift. Upon opening, it’s dented on corner on top corner of door, piece inside at back of cooler keeps falling down. Haven’t even got to plug it I yet as it’s getting returned.

The Insignia 14 bottle wine cooler is a great little addition to our kitchen setup. It has a stainless steel front door with tempered glass that is UV filtered and the sides are all black. The front door is reversible and the feet are adjustable.Inside it is all black and has steel wired shelves. It still gives you that sophisticated look while still being a relatively inexpensive item. Now I didn’t have 14 bottles of wine lying around to test if they would all fit but I did get 7 bottles of wine and the kids drinks in there and have no doubt it would fit all 14 bottles of wine. I like that it is not too big that it would take a lot of effort to move. I’m the type that likes to move things around every once in a while to change up the decor of the house and kitchen. I might just keep it in my home office/man cave just so I can have access to cold drinks after work or during a gaming session. It light and small enough I can place it practically anywhere. Overall I’d recommend this wine cooler not just for its looks and function but also the price point. It’s also on sale right now as of this review 6/1/23 and it is cheaper than the 8 bottle wine cooler.

This is a awesome little wine fridge. I also own a Insignia beverage cooler and it has always worked great for me so I wanted to give the wine fridge a try as well. It is the perfect size for keeping a good selection on hand without being too large and taking up a ton of space. Not to mention it looks pretty sleek as well. Its also not so cumbersome that it would be very easy to move if you were having a party and needed to move it to a different room of your house. It arrived to me very well packaged and after I removed a few straps and some Styrofoam and tape I was ready to go! They recommend plugging it in and leaving it run with nothing in it for a while which I did. After a few hours, it felt pretty cold so I loaded it up. They claim the unit has a temperature range of 41-64 degrees. After loading it up and letting it sit overnight on the coldest setting, I was getting a reading of about 32-34 degrees on my thermometer. So I think those numbers might be a little bit off. It would be nice if there was a digital temperature selector instead of a dial, but once you figure out roughly what temperature you get at a certain dial position you should be good to go. The dial is on the bottom in the back corner of the fridge, so to get to it, you have to remove the lower rack. That is easy to do though, it slides right out. After a few days I found that it maintained a steady temperature and is whisper quiet and just worked perfectly! I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a good wine fridge that keeps a good temperature and won’t break the bank!

We've had this fridge for a month. We ordered one and it came defective. Returned it and then got a new one. This one works well, it's not too loud, except for one tick sound every couple of minutes. It's small so it can fit in almost any corner. All in all, decent wine fridge that's not too expensive.

So honestly, I am using this more as a 10 bottle wine cooler and the bottom area has cans of wine… I don’t know why but my wife loves the cans of wine and this keeps them at the perfect temp. The door feels solid. I recently had to deal with a really cheap fridge that the door would pop right back open when you shut it solidly (not slam but not precisely gentle either) This door doesn’t have an issue with a solid closure for me. The glass front looks nice and overall I appreciate the small size as our wine collection isn’t the largest and thus the area for storage isn’t the largest either. The fridge is quiet so if you want it out in an area with people I don’t see an issue with this as I can’t even hear it, some fridges I can hear quite well. So, overall, I don’t love how the bottom bottles are stored unless you have one that you really want to show the name off of but I saw this as a bonus as I was able to fit several cans down there instead. Overall, this fits exactly what I need out of a wine cooler, keeps the wine cool, the quality feels solid and good, and its quiet.
