So honestly, I am using this more as a 10 bottle wine cooler and the bottom area has cans of wine… I don’t know why but my wife loves the cans of wine and this keeps them at the perfect temp. The door feels solid. I recently had to deal with a really cheap fridge that the door would pop right back open when you shut it solidly (not slam but not precisely gentle either) This door doesn’t have an issue with a solid closure for me. The glass front looks nice and overall I appreciate the small size as our wine collection isn’t the largest and thus the area for storage isn’t the largest either. The fridge is quiet so if you want it out in an area with people I don’t see an issue with this as I can’t even hear it, some fridges I can hear quite well. So, overall, I don’t love how the bottom bottles are stored unless you have one that you really want to show the name off of but I saw this as a bonus as I was able to fit several cans down there instead. Overall, this fits exactly what I need out of a wine cooler, keeps the wine cool, the quality feels solid and good, and its quiet.

Great size for a small space! Very quiet and easy to set up!

This is a no frills wine cooler that will keep your wine at a relatively consistent temperature. It has nothing special. I am using it to keep bottles in appropriate temperature at a secondary apartment that I don't keep my main collection. There is not much to the setup. Take it out, plug it in, let it cool to temp. It uses a knob to control so it's not as nice and fancy as a higher end unit. However, it's unlikely that's what people looking at something like this desire. It keeps the temperature within about 2-3 degrees of the set temperature. It must absolutely be kept indoors or any climate controlled area. It will not be able to stay to temp in a very cold garage for example. I haven't tried it in excessive heat but my assumption is that it will not well in the long run. I only have 10 bottles to try it out with, a mix of red/white/champagne, and it fit them well. I could see it maxing out at 10 if you have a lot of champagne or odd shaped bottles. Overall, this will get the job done for cheap and I would recommend it. If you need something to store mostly $70+ bottles of wine this is not the right unit for you.

We've had this fridge for a month. We ordered one and it came defective. Returned it and then got a new one. This one works well, it's not too loud, except for one tick sound every couple of minutes. It's small so it can fit in almost any corner. All in all, decent wine fridge that's not too expensive.

This is a great small Fridge that replaced an old Cuisinart that died. One important fact that needs to be shared is that only 'standard-sized' wine bottles can be stored on the top shelf. If you have larger-bottomed bottles, they need to go on the middle shelf or down below which 'could' limit capacity. Overall, though, we're very happy with the purchase and can recommend this to anyone looking for a space-saving design.

The Insignia 14-Bottle Wine Cooler is a nice, compact wine cooling unit. Following are my observations after testing out this unit. - It came well-packaged and was easy to set up. Just remove from the box, remove packing materials, use the leveling foot to level the unit out, plug it in and set the desired temp and it is ready to go. - It is a compact unit, measuring 18 & 1/2" wide x 17 & 5/16" deep x 19 & 1/2" tall. - It is a free-standing unit and cannot be recessed or built-in. It can be placed on the floor, or on a counter-top or cabinet and needs approximately 4 inches on each side and on top for ventilation. - The door can be reversed if you need to open it the opposite direction. - There is a temperature dial with three temperature settings (Cold = range of 59 - 68 degrees F; or Normal = 48 - 59 degrees F; or Colder = 39 - 48 degrees F) or it can be turned off. The instruction booklet gives various recommended settings for different types of wines. I would have preferred to see the capability to set a specific temperature. For example, if you want to set it at 57 degrees, you have to guess at the right spot on the dial between Cold and Normal. You would need to use a cooking thermometer to ensure you have it at an exact setting if you want a specific temperature. - The wine cooler holds 14 standard wine bottles measuring 11.8" High x 3" in Diameter. The racks are well-designed to make efficient use of the space. This is a nice looking unit and will work well to store the more valuable wines I have collected.

The Insignia 14-bottle stainless steel wine cooler is definitely a handy convenience. It was, of course, easy set up. First, I took off all of the packaging, inside and out. Then I wiped down the inside with warm water. Next I plugged it in and, after it started, we let it sit plugged in over night. There are three handy temperature settings: cold, normal and colder. We set it to normal. We placed room temperature waters in it and the next day they were pleasantly cold. Actually, my primary use is as a place for my sodas. For whatever reason, I'm a diet root beer kind of guy, and I like to have cold cans of soda available to grab at any time. This is working very well for our needs. An add plus is that using the Insignia 14-bottle stainless steel wine cooler frees up needed space in our family refrigerator. It's also nice that it does not take up much space. One thing to note: It does not have a light, so at night you would not be able to see what's inside without a light. Overall, it is a good basic wine (soda) cooler. It's working well for my needs.
