This w the thunderbolt to gigabit Ethernet Mac converter is night and day. Faster online gaming response, tor downloads, streaming benefits. Across the board good stuff.

Signal strength is just as I would expect it to be- no drop in spite of the cable length (50 ft). Have been able to rewrite my WiFi distribution and overall performance is just great.

For the money though, this 50ft cable works perfectly fine and I wouldn't recommend spending anymore than this for a specific name brand - you wouldn't notice a difference.
