After calling my provider I found the old cables were the problem. These are the as by duty cables and work better than expected.

The cable works very well, and I have no complaints. Our blu-ray player now has flawless internet services.

I like the protector on the release, I've had far too many break off on other cables. Wish there were more color options though!

(And it's long enough that I'm not limited to stay near the cable box.)
