If you coil it right, it won't have any problems, but it is a different material than standard patch cords you'll find in a server rack. There are also no industry-standard markings denoting rating or shielding type like other cables other than a very small "Cat-6 Network Cable" label on the insulation every foot or so.

I highly recommend people game with a lan connection for the best experience.

I did not want a lot of extra cable. Nor did I want to stretch the cable. Gray is a nice neutral color as the cable is exposed. I just do not need a cat with a bigger number for this connection.
