I recently took this charger on a trip, and I can say it worked well. It's a big block of a charger, and relatively heavy; but I'm getting 140W worth of power out of it, so that's to be expected. The charger fits well with the general Apple white charger aesthetic, so it's not out of place on that front. But to the highlights: Having two USB-C plugs for laptops and tablets, with two additional USB-A ports for lower power devices (phones, watches, etc.) makes sense. One thing to be aware of, and the instructions spell this out, is that the power is distributed according to how many devices are plugged in. In other words, you'll get the full 140W delivery to a device as long as that's the ONLY device plugged in: 1 USB-C = full 140W 2 USB-C = 100W + 30W 2 USB-C + 1 USB-A = 100W + 30W + 12W 2 USB-C + 2 USB-A = 100W + 30W + 15W (shared between the USB-A ports) This is a pretty good tradeoff when you're distributing devices, but the charger has another surprise: It comes with an addition 3 prong power outlet that allows you to pass through power to a another power supply or stack additional chargers (up to 4) providing a max 560W over 16 ports. I didn't get to put that to the test, but I can say the addition outlet port came in very handy on my travels. On last thing on the design: there are two ways to plug the charger into an outlet - either with power pins that fold out from the case or with an external AC power adapter the snaps in place to the device. I really liked having this option! I'm not sure if I'll use it as a permanent fixture in my office. I think it comes in more handy when traveling and staying in hotels, etc.

    Convenient power, heavy

I'm really glad that more devices use USB-C, so I can get rid of a ton of these older cables that I have. The only problem is that not every charger or power brick can deliver enough juice to actually charge every device, despite the plug fitting. I was always grabbing a random power brick, plugging my laptop to it, and getting a notification that the charger isn't powerful enough to charge and use the device at the same time. The 140W charger from Insignia makes it so that I don't have to worry about anything other than putting the cable in my device. It doesn't matter if you have a macbook, an ipad, a windows laptop, or your vape pen, it'll charge your device right up and in a hurry. I was a little confused as to the optional foldable wall plug instead of using the included cable. I mean, yes, it does save some room if you don't have any place to put it, but the charger is really big and heavy, and I don't see it staying in the wall for very long, plus it makes it so the ports are facing down, which is inconvenient for inserting cables. If your wall plugs are oriented horizontally instead, like many of mine are, I really wouldn't recommend using the foldable prongs at all. However, when I learned about the "passthrough" plug on top of the charger that lets you stack as many as four of these chargers together while still only using up one socket, it all made sense. You read that right, this unit, plus 3 more of the same, will allow you to form the Voltron of charging stations, in case you needed to charge 12 things at once. The cable that it comes with is nice and conveniently long.

    Remarkable charger

This is one amazing, versatile charger. Plug it in the wall or use the included 6' cord, two usb-A and two USB-C. The USB-C charging is why I really wanted this charger. I have three laptops that all support PD - Legion 7 Slim, HP Specter x360, and a Dell XPS13. All three charge at full speed in the PC slot, but no surprise, gaming while charging on the Legion 7 just won't keep up since the GPU is going pull 100w itself. Under normal use the charging is fine. I've also connected my S21 and Tab 7 to the PC ports alone and both charged at full speed. Once you start putting multiple devices simultaneously the charger splits up the output - I don't have the manual, but it lists the max output when multiple devices are connected. On neat feature that I don't think I'll use, but nice to know it's an option, is the ability to stack chargers. They don't recommend going over 4 units - I suspect the power cord isn't rated for more or the heat generated might start causing issues. While it's more expensive than the standard multicharging ports it's worth it for not having to carry around multiple chargers if you want full speed charging on your laptop.

    Insanely powerful charging brick

I have been impressed with the overall power of this charger so far. It is a large and heavy unit compared to the smaller wall-outlet charger on the market. It is more like a laptop power brick than a typical compact travel charger, but the additional charging power you get makes the jump in size worth it. The fact that it can charge multiple high-capacity devices at once is impressive. Being able to charge my laptop at 100W while still providing high speed charging for a phone/tablet is great. I have no had any issues with it fast charging my Pixel 6Pro, or my Lenovo laptop that utilizes USB-C for charging. I currently have this charger next to my bed to power my wireless charging pad, and a couple of USB-C cables for my phone, Kindle, and laptop. It is definitely convenient to have one device that can charge all of my gadgets. Wiring gets crazy sometimes having to have 2-3 charging bricks in a small space just to charge multiple devices. With laptops requiring much more wattage than a phone or tablet, this device really simplifies work or relaxation spaces where multiple devices are used.

    Amazing design ingenuity!

Wow did they think this one through in terms of design! The unit's AC adapter mounts *flat* to the back of it, allowing it to be stored/stowed in a completely flat orientation. Additionally, you get an extension for any other (2-prong) AC device so you don't lose your outlet! However, what the spot on the front of the unit is *really* for is to piggy-back multiple ones of these on top of each other *and add* the output wattage! Incredible! I haven't tried charging a laptop/other large device with the high-output USB-C connection, but I've no doubt it works. The existing USB-A and USB-C connectors are wicked fast - this unit is a welcome addition to our household's "charging cabinet" inside the front door where we charge phones, tablets, and other devices out-of-sight. It's rare to have a device nowadays that had its design so well-thought out and this is a refreshing charger to own. The only thing that surprised me and is a bit of a downer is its weight - there's no mounting this upside-down anywhere unless you have something *very* strong to hold it.

    Powerful Charging Device

This is a very powerful charger with a couple of really nice features. It is rather large and heavy, but I'll be using it at a fixed workstation, as I suspect is mostly intended. It comes with a generous six foot cable, with a proprietary connector. This proprietary connector is clever, though. It slides into the bottom into a folding plug. The folding plug allows you to stack multiple charged on top of each other - there is an outlet on the top of the device that the folding plug will connect to. This is a great way to have an even more powerful charging station yet keep cords organized. The charge itself is great. I've been able to charge a MacBook Pro 16, iPhone, and iPad all at very fast speeds. Most charges fail in this regard when attaching multiple devices, they will severely restrict power across all connected devices. Because of the high output, this is either not happening or sadly noticed. If you need something powerful that can quickly charge multiple devices at the same time, this is easy to recommend.

Meets Specs But Runs Hot and Boring Design

This is a review of the Insignia 140W charger and as described, sports two USB-C and two USB-A ports. The first thing one notices is that this is a pretty sizeable brick. Yes, some size is expected for a higher power charger, but I was expecting something a bit more sleek. Going further on the design, it's relatively boring. It has an industrial white look and flip out two prong power pins which the corded adapter slots into (with the prongs folded in). The prongs exist because you can daisy chain these by plugging them into each other (the instructions caution no more than four). Note, daisy chaining doesn't increase the power output of any one unit, it's just that it helps save outlet space. The industrial white look is marred by a warning sticker on the top face which replicates this instruction but so poorly worded as to not be understood. I only figured out what was meant by reading the instruction booklet and I'm a fairly technical person. I verified that I could charge my phone from the USB-C port at 19W and USB-A port at 12W. My laptop maxed out at 100W but I still got 19W out the other USB-C port at the same time. So, I expect this easily meets the claimed specs. This device does run hot though - particularly when delivering 100W of power to my laptop. And given that there's no mounting bracket of any sort, it's expected to either lie on a table or floor or propped up against the wall between furniture. Either way, that it gets warm isn't ideal for something that can't quite be placed out of the way. Heat and grammar aside, I don't have any particular issues with this adapter. I feel like it should do more that simply deliver up to 140W of combined power or maybe be in a smaller form factor or run cooler. While this does the job, I think it leaves you wanting.

Not a “portable” – this is for your nesting area.

Insignia 140W Dual USB-C Dual USB-A Charger with 6ft AC Cable (White) Not a “portable” – this is for your nesting area. OK this is the one for office, bedside, or other “nesting areas” to keep everything charged without swapping chargers or filling up your surge strip to get everything juiced up. This is “full sized” and is designed to plug in to wall outlet (or surge strip) and stay there… it is rather large to be moving around or putting in a backpack or purse. Wherever you “settle down” with your devices and want to have a full-spectrum charger within easy reach – this is where you put your 140W charger. There is no lack of power for fast charging of multiple devices from laptops down to fitness watches. Two USB-C ports provide 100W and 30W when used at the same time, and the two USB ports share 15W between them when used at the same time. This is based on having all 4 ports in use at the same time. As with other devices with multiple ports, your output per port increases if you only use one at a time (USB-C combines wattage and USB combines wattage). With all that said, I have no issues charging up a 17” laptop, older Surface Pro, phone, and smartwatch all at the same time and everyone gets charged up in short order. A nice feature is the ability to plug the charge directly into a wall outlet with fold-out prongs, OR to use a nice sled plug that has a short cord for the wall/strip outlet and allows you to put the charger on a desk, night table, or other. In other words you don’t have to “hang it” on a wall outlet, you have a good bit of flexibility in placing your charger. There is also a nice “passthrough plug” that provides you with a normal outlet plug to use – so you don’t lose a regular outlet by using this charger. Like most other folks, I have my collection of small chargers that have accumulated over the years with new devices, and those stay in the backpack or in various locations around the house and office where I can “grab and go” when needed… BUT this 140W charger has found a place in my nest and I don’t have to dig through the little portable chargers to get everything juiced up for the day ahead. Peace from Central Georgia!

The Insignia 140W Dual USB-C Dual USB-A Charger with 6ft AC Cable is an excellent option for people who have multiple devices they want charged from one power source. You get two USB-C ports and 2 USB-A ports so there are plenty of options for all your charging needs. Additionally, you get a standard 2-prong receptacle that you can use to plug in another device or stack another 140W Insignia Dual charging brick right on top to further expand charging capabilities. It has been really nice having this on my desk. I no longer have to mess round with finding a power adapter, or outlet space to charge my devices. So far, I have used it to charge up a laptop, phones and a 13 inch iPad. I've been getting very fast charging speeds which is awesome. Having everything consolidated to one power supply is great. Having the long 6ft power cord is also great. The kids have been using it on the couch to power their devices and it has worked out pretty well. The cable length gives you some nice versatility in terms of how and where you charge your devices. I've been very please with this Insignia product. If you are in the market for an "all in one" power supply option, you should certainly consider this power supply from Insignia.!

    Best USB wall charger available...

Wow, if anyone ever thought that this was a generic brand, no more. This is by far the best and most creative wall charger on the market. It allow you to get more than one and stack them in such a way that they only need one wall plug for up to four blocks stacked. That would be 16 USB charging ports on one plug. It also allows you to plug it directly to the wall, but it does not support stacking that way and must be plugged into the top jack to have proper support in the plug. Otherwise the block will pull itself out of the wall. It is a great mix of two USB-C and two USB-A ports. It is powerful enough to charge and use it with your Ipad Pro, a chromebook, or a very nice cell phone. Actually you could do any combination of these up to four devices. It comes with a power cord so you can plug it directly to the wall and won't have to worry about it pulling free. I can't wait to get several more to add to my collection of home devices. It is well built and I have not had any issues with it so far. I recommend this for anyone that needs to be able to use and charge more than one USB power enabled devices. It is not the cheapest but it is the best quality.

I got the Insignia 140 Watt charger to take with me when I travel, hoping to consolidate the various chargers into one unit. The first thing you notice with this charger is the weight. At about a pound and a quarter (20 ounces) including the extension plug, it makes a difference in your backpack. I had no trouble charging my Apple products and all were able to charge at maximum speed due to the 140 watt total power which is split with 130 watts total going to the two USB C ports and 15 watts split to the two USB A ports. To get the full 140 watts you can only use one device via a single USB C port. On my Windows laptops, I had no trouble with Dell and LG 13 inch units, a Surface Laptop Studio reports it as a slow charger and a 15” Dell Precision just said “No”. I like the dual plug. You can either plug the adapter directly to the wall using the flip-out plug or you can attach the six foot extension plug to the folded prongs. Another unique feature to the charger is an additional power socket on the top of the unit which allows you to stack up to three more chargers giving you a total of four chargers and 16 USB ports. The downside to this is it's not a polarized plug and seemingly not intended for anything else other than additional chargers, which would allow you to not lose a wall plug if you didn’t want to carry the extension with you. Overall, I like this charger, it does what it was intended to do. I give it five stars and would recommend it to a friend.

This charger has already become my favorite charging device in my home and I cannot wait to take it with me on my next vacation. When we are out of town we always take a charging adapter like this with USB ports so that we can charge all of our phones, laptops and devices. In most cases I end up bringing a fast charger or super fast charger with me so I can quickly charge my phone in between activities. This adds more bulk to my packing. This charger fixes all this. This charging power block features super fast charging right out of the USB type C ports. This is super cool and very convenient for me. The regular USB outputs are also high speed ports. This alone is worth the price. But there are also AC receptacle ports as well. This allows you to charge your laptops and other devices. The form factor and design is also very nice. The device has two different ways that you can use it. You can use the item as a block with the prongs coming right out of the unit and plug it right in. You can then add a power cord and extend it a few feet. This is how I am using it due to it’s range. So far I am loving this charging block. I will take it with me everywhere I go to have instant access to all the charging I will ever need. I cannot recommend enough.

One power brick to charge them all!

I have a LOT of electronic devices and nearly all of them charge off a cable that terminates in either a USB A or USB C connection. This brick has two of each, putting out a total of 140 watts. Between my phone, which takes up to 68 watts USB C, and my laptop, which calls for a 65 watt USB C, I can charge the two and still have two USB A connectors to charge items that calls for less wattage. Now keep in mind, I can charge all of these AT THE SAME TIME! Just be sure to have USB cables that are rated for the wattage you're putting through them - to put too much through a cable is just asking for disaster. The best part - it's not large at all - small enough to through into your laptop or "go" bag and take it with you. It's paired with a 6 foot AC cable - between that and a 6 or even 10 foot USB cord you'll have all the length AND juice that your devices need. Definitely a must-have addition for anyone who is on the go or simply needs to power multiple devices with only one outlet to spare. Get one - you'll thank yourself!

This charger is quite expensive when purchased while not on sale. It is very heavy and feels like a quality product. The ability to stack them is a nice feature, and I usually have good experience with Insignia-branded chargers. I was surprised when the left-most (highest-power) USB C port suddenly went dead. The other three ports are working, but the port I plug my Macbook into is totally dead. It was nice while it lasted, but that turned out to be fewer than two weeks. Totally unacceptable. Now I have to deal with getting this replaced, but I'm not likely to plug my $2000 equipment back in to the replacement. What a waste.
