I could NOT get it to activate the 28A profile to get 140W output. I have a 16" M3 MacBook Pro (this new M3 model accepts 140W from either MagSafe or USB-C), and the OEM 140W Apple charger. With the OEM charger, I can get 28V/5A (140W) with the MagSafe and the Insignia 240W cable. However, when using the Insignia charger, both the MagSafe and the 240W cable would cap out at 100W as shown in the MacBook's System Information->Power info. In summary - cable works as advertised, at least up to the 240W I could test. The power supply itself couldn't get past 100W. This is using a single port, nothing plugged into the 2nd. I tried both ports with the same result. If you have anything at all plugged into a second port, the max you can get from a single port is 100W. As such, I had to return this. I'm not sure if the open box designation had anything to do with this inability to engage 28V, possibly it was a customer return for the same reason.

only lasted a few months

It does what it needs to do and is comparable to shapes and sizes of similar products out there, so no expectations there. So far no problems with the cord integrity.

Did all of the necessary troubleshooting to deduce it is in fact the brick. Additionally, the manual claims it is capable of Samsung PPS 25W super fast charging based on the specifications. It cannot charge my Note 20 Ultra at max speed. We'll see how the support process goes when I bring it in to the store I purchased it from.
