I bought it to keep my phone charged while screen mirroring video to my TV via usb-c to hdmi. This charger will not keep the battery charged while doing this and I barely make through a football game before the battery dies. Also I have to keep cool air blowing on my phone to keep it from overheating while charging during game.

You definitely have to have in the right spot, which wasn't that big of deal because I just use it overnight. However, the past two days (I've only had it for about 2 weeks) I have woken up to my phone not fully charged, knowing that I put it in the right spot before going to sleep. I have a glaaxy s20. I feel like it works when it wants to.
