I spent about 40 minutes running the cable through a pretty difficult path, only to find out that it only transfers at 100Mbps. I have a new 3k laptop with a gigabit NIC (computer not the problem) - 100Mpbs in every scenario with this cable. After wasting about an hour troubleshooting, I reluctantly decide to test with another cable. It couldn't be a $45 Best Buy cable, right? Wrong. I go sit next to my router and plug in a cheap/ old Cat5e cable, and boom, full Gigabit speeds. Unbelievable. An incredible waste of time and money.

Cable did not work

Both of these cables are defective and only carrying a data speed of 100mb/s. I've double checked the conection and the cables are plugged in correctly. I would recommend spending the money on a better cable.
