Great for awhile but got kinda glitchy and tape on back doesn’t stick very well

Good quality for the sale price. I wanted to use it under our bed as a night light of sorts and it mounted just fine using zip ties. The problem is these units don't dim far enough - even on the dimmest setting they were too bright. I even tried mouthing at different angles and even tried using a screen to block some of the light. I could have cut the length down I suppose but wanted the length. In the end I used it behind my TV for bias lighting and its excellent for that purpose. Just be careful with this product if you want something very dim as it may not get dim enough for your needs.

I used this lighting strip for a Christmas display and it worked great, it wasn’t attached to anything the strip was just laying on edge around the display. After the holidays I attached the strip under a shelf in my sewing room above the ironing station and was so happy with the bright lights. After about 15 minutes they turn off and I have to unplug them for a while and then plug n again. They’re plugged into a surge protector using an adapter from a phone. I don’t know why they’re turning off but I make sure they are unplugged before I leave the room. Based on this, I would not recommend this particular light strip. I have Phillips Hue light strips and never have any problems with them, they are much more expensive but worth the peace of mind. I might buy another Phillips Hue.

I have an older Vizio TV with a 2.0 USB port and I was afraid that this LED stripe would not work. I was surprised that it worked fine and the power from my TV's USB port was enough.

Great for a year and then remote stopped working..

Straight from China and into the trash. Out of the box, I uncoiled 8 feet of garbage. These lights are the least sticky LED strips I've seen to date. It took three full tubes of Gorilla Glue to get the strip to adhere to an otherwise normal surface. There are no color blending modes and no automatic color changing. Color changes must be made manually by awkwardly pressing a button that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. These lights belong in the Dollar Store. Best Buy should be ashamed to stamp their name on this product.

The light strip itself is good. It attached to the back of my TV very easily. The lights are strong. The REMOTE, however, is pure garbage. It's small, very cheap, and started malfunctioning within a couple of days. I can no longer get any orange colors, and when I press the red buttons, I get blue, and vice versa. It's an obscenely CHEAP remote.

The person that designed the radio frequency (RF) controller for these LED strip lights was lazy. ALL of these use the exact same frequency and code and the RF signal is NOT programmable so when you install these even in a basement and then your neighbor two houses down does....the remote controls ALL of them..enjoy the chaos that ensues. The 8ft USB version is fine though as it does not use a RF signal.

I am being repeatedly disappointed with Insignia brand purchases. At first glance, they appear to be something I would be very satisfied with, however once purchased and removed from the packaging I am finding merchandise that seems to be cheaply made and defective in one way or another. In this case the prongs that connect to the cord were bent and it was extremely difficult mating them with the designated slots. When connected, the color display randomly turned off and on. Also, there seem to be several products that are very similar online, with more programmable options and that cost half as much.

Set the lights up and they are not working. Will need to return/exchange them.

Lights looked great....when you can turn them on....the ONLY complaint is that after a little while of turning them on and off with the center button...it broke through its coating and is DOA..
