    Door Won't Suction

    I am on my second refrigerator - the first one was delivered and had a huge gash in the side. I had to take it back to the store so now I am on my second one. We flipped the door to fit our space and the pre-drilled holes were not large enough so I had to go to the hardware store to buy a special drill bit so we could finish the installation. I finally finish that but the holes at the bottom of the door were in the wrong place so when you put the stopper to turn the light on and off in the holes provided it prevents the door from shutting. So we had to just turn off the light since there is no way to turn it off when the door shuts without the piece fitting correctly. I can live with this but the door does not suction. If you push the door shut you have to actually hold it for a second for it to stick. I have looked online for a strong magnet or something to get it to stay shut but have not found a solution yet. I think I would like it if I could ever get it to work correctly because it looks nice and fits in our space.

    The first cooler had a defective handle, but Best Buy sent a new one out and the two men worked very hard to assemble and install it. They did a fantastic job, and cleaned up afterwards. I rate them very highly,

    Purchased this item in 2019 with a 4 year extended warranty and it stopped cooling at 4 yrs 8 months. I would have hoped for more years. I guess I should have spent more $ on a better quality item. I would not buy again.

    Temperature issues

    Refrig is a perfect fit. Only issue is that the temperature wont keep. I like my drinks cold but set to 34 and atays around 38...nothing blocking rhe back of the unit or too close to the front. Possible return for a different unit

    Product met the need. Quality of the packaging for shipping was poor. Outside packaging had no visible signs of damage but refrigerator had several dents from handling.

    This fridge gave out after 2 Years in my garage. There was no fix and support for Insignia is unheard of. The fridge is now $700. I’m not about to spend that for a fridge that will only last 2 years.

    Wouldn’t cool to setting

    Overall the unit seems to be well made. However, it wasn’t able to cool down to the setting we wanted. After starting the unit and setting the temperature at 34, we let it run for several days before putting anything in it. When we did stock it with drinks we also let them sit for several days because we like our drinks “cold”. Much to our disappointment, when we did try some drinks we discovered they weren’t as cold as we expected. I placed an auto AC thermometer in the unit and it indicated the temperature was only 50, the unit still reading 34 on it’s panel. Unit was returned to Best Buy.

    No parts for repairs.

    The beverage cooler came with a dent on one side that i can deal with. It also came with 1 set screw for the handle missing. I called up Insignia to get a set screw and was told they do not have any parts i should go get a screw on my own from a hardware store or return the cooler to the store.Returning is not an option being i am an hour away from the store. The second concern is i took the 4 year service plan. If something breaks on the cooler how are they going to repair it if they do not have parts ?Wow all this aggravation for 1 set screw. Bad business.

    If you had asked me a month ago, I would have recommended this product with flying colors. We purchased in August 2020 during a kitchen remodel, with installation in September 2020. Now 2.5 years later, the fridge will not hold its temperature. I don't know about you, but this is not a product that I expect to have to repurchase less than 3 years later. When it worked, it was great. But it just didn't last long enough to feel like it's worth the money. Very disappointing!
