This is a great unit. Will cool to 34 deg. and hold more cans than one realistcaly needs. The light fearure is nice and can be turned on and off, The only con to the product is that the door doese not suction closed. If you swing the door closed it will probably bounce open.

After months of research and reading reviews of many different beverage coolers we decided to go with the insignia. We've had it for close to a month and absolutely love it, the only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the shelves. They do adjust however, you're very limited and it would have been nice if we could have adjusted them for maximum space. I would love to be able to keep bottled water in there however you have to lay them down. Other than that the cooler looks great in our space keeps beverages nice and cold and we haven't had any issues so far. We're glad we purchased this.

So we bought a house with a similarly sized wine cooler installed and had used it off and on for canned drinks and such, but not being true oenophiles, it really went to waste. Eventually, it gave up the ghost and we went hunting for a beverage cooler, and this one fit the bill. It keeps tons of drinks inside at a nice cold temperature, and in a pinch, serves as an extra refrigerator when our main one is full. It's ultra-quiet, and fits the space perfectly. Can't complain!

New beverage cooler is running nicely. A few things to note with the cooler: you can set the temperature but you’ll have to use a separate thermometer to see the actual temperature. Also, the cooler is made more for cans. The bottles don’t fit as well because you have to adjust the shelves and this loses shelf space. Overall we like the unit, and it is inexpensive compared to others like it. Shipping was somewhat of an issue. The first shipment came dented in 5 places and had to be sent back. Customer service was excellent in taking care of the problem and getting us a new one. The new one only came with one dent, but it’s not visible, so we kept it.

Poor Quality - Horrible Customer Service

I purchased this Beverage Cooler just over two years ago and recently the unit stopped cooling. It would turn on and hum, but it remained at room temperature. I contacted BB customer service and they walked me through some troubleshooting without any luck. I asked if there was anything that could be done to fix or replace the unit despite the one year warranty being over, as I would have expected this appliance to last much longer. The customer service rep essentially told me I had two options 1) bring the cooler into a Best Buy store to have a technician look at the unit or 2) Pay $130 for a technician to come out and look at the unit. From research and troubleshooting, I was fairly certain this was a sealed system failure (I guess common on lower quality beverage fridges) and that repairing this issue would be more costly than purchasing a new unit. So I was very clear with the customer service rep that if I went through all the trouble to bring this unit to a store, I would be extremely frustrated if they just told me there was nothing they could do and that I needed to purchase a new cooler. The rep said that she could not guarantee they would be able to do anything, but after looking at the unit they could decide to replace or at least give a discount on a new unit. I questioned this several times, but was assured that there was a scenario where Best Buy makes this right if I just bring the fridge into the store. So I went through the trouble of getting this to a BB store (2-3 hours of my time after loading and driving it there) just to be immediately told that unless I have a protection plan, BB will not look at it. I expressed my frustration to the store employee that I explicitly asked the service rep about this and he admitted that BB uses outsourced customer service. They are trained to drive inquiries into the stores.. anyway I guess BB expects customers to just replace these units every couple of years with a smile on their face. Probably done with Best Buy in general after several issues with other purchases. You are much better going with Amazon or HD/Lowes for an appliance. OR just don't buy Insignia, so you don't have to deal with BB if it has an issue.

Really like the refrigerator with the exception of the door popping open when closing it (as other reviewers have noted). I just installed a 70 pound magnetic door catch with command strips to the bottom of door and its works great Shipping on the other hand for my refrig was horrible. Was supposed to deliver in 3 days. First one got lost and took 3 phone calls and nearly a month to get another one shipped

I don't give it 5 stars simply because the door tends to bounce and stay open if not carefully shut. And yes, the fridge is level. Also, one of the shelves is slightly bent towards the center, we have not yet requested a replacement part. Besides that, it's pretty great after a month.

Nice fridge. Keeps our beer and soda cold. One complaint is that you need to shut the door softly so it doesn't bounce open. The magnet in it isn't the best. As long as you know that it works great!
