It replaced a 13 year old one that quit suddenly. We got one day delivery and did not lose anything. Installation was very easy and was cold enough to be be refilled within an hour.

A few hours later temp was zero and it has hummed along since. Must admit I doubt I would have considered this brand but almost no others available. Glad now as I have a very nice freezer for less than the name brands.

We only have a new one because Best Buy wouldn’t service the old one and would only replace it (perhaps a known issue? I’m not sure). Customer service was an extremely frustrating experience, everything is centralized and you can’t talk to any local stores via phone call anymore. When you call customer service no one seems to know what is going on and honestly sounds like they’re just reading off a script so they just were not helpful and I unfortunately had to call multiple times. We needed another freezer immediately and it took Best Buy over a month to deliver the replacement so we ended up having to spend $700 on another freezer (not from Best Buy).

I purchased the extended warranty. I called to get it serviced and I was told I would need to bring in to the Best Buy store for all repairs and that it does not qualify for in home service even though in the terms it says that in home repairs cover major appliances. When you look this up on the website it is listed under "Major Appliances". I hope this helps someone else.

It has been a great product and I love the organization it offers and the alerts. Great buy.
