It exceeds 43F before cooling down to 26F. The internal temperature of a refrigerator should never exceed 40F. If you look at the other one star reviews you'll see I'm not the only customer to have this complaint. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service, the safe temperature for a refrigerator is 40°F or below. If you own a restaurant, as a refrigerator this unit can cause trouble with Health and Safety inspections. I paid extra for the Standard Geek Squad Protection. When I tried to chat with Geek Squad they sent me to InsigniaProducts.com which just redirects to a Best Buy insignia page taking you full circle. Not sure why paying for Geek Squad Protection gets you redirected elsewhere. I have sent an email to [email protected] I will update this review later, if appropriate.

This is a disposable item, so don’t expect it to last very long or to have this item serviced at home by Best Buy because they will tell you it is too small and that you have to bring it to the store.
