    We bought two, one for freezer and one for frig. Freezer is amazing but food in frig kept molding/spoiling so bought two top-rated thermometers to monitor temp which fluctuates between 34 and 43 degrees. May be this particular unit is just bad but too late to return so cannot recommend as a frig. Very disappointed because we love everything else about it as well as the freezer!

    Insignia 17.0 cu ft freezer/refrigerator review

    The shelves are not strong and they sag. I bought polycarbonate sheets 1/4” thick and cut them to fit (no small feat). Also shelves are not adjustable. i like everything else.

    Disaster--doesn't freeze, lost all food

    The freezer cools but doesn't freeze. After carefully following the instructions in the manual and re-setting everything multiple times, the so-called freezer hovers a round 32 degrees Fahrenheit. I've s et the temperature for as low as sit will go, and it still doesn't freeze. We've lost an entire freezer full of meats and other foods. This is not good.

    Stopped working after 6mos! Lost several hundred dollars of meat and frozen food Best Buy is replacing freezer but NO COMPENSATION FOR LOSS OF FOOD IN THIS ECONOMY! SHAME ON BEST BUY! After reading most recent reviews this freezer has a problem!

    It is nicely built but the face that it would only get down to and average of 41.5 degrees. That was the problem. If the item does not do the one thing it is built for, well that is an issue. Best Buy was great on taking it back thougg

    Unit as refrigerator is advertised to cool from 35 to 45 degrees. I need to cool eggs to 35 degrees and it never cools below the low 40s.

    Didnt work. Stuck a thermometer in it and it reached temps all the way to 55 degrees sporadically.

    Wishing I could give it zero stars, but sadly that was not an option. We have had this appliance 16 months, and it is now not cooling. Most appliances are good for at least 5-10 years, but not this one. Think twice before you purchase it, and if you decide to purchase, also purchase the longest protection plan offered.

    Door gets stuck WAY too easily.

    This freezer would be great if not for one massive design flaw - the door is almost always next to impossible to open. Trying to open the door results in pulling the entire freezer forward every single time. This makes it a giant pain in the butt to actually use, even for a full-grown man. This could also have easily been addressed if the door handle had inside leverage to break the seal.

    I got this to help people in Texas and it has show growing inside of it. I called to get a new one but due to the winter storm, I was not able to get help. I am still trying to get an exchange for a new one. I have insurance and don't know why its taking so long.

    I have a freezer with a broken glass shelf. I have been dealing with for almost a month. I had a manager from the appliances department call me. We talked about the problem I was having and he was to call me back. I have not heard from him yet! I am just coming to the conclusion that Best Buy just doesn't stand by their word or their product.

    We are on our second freezer. The first would not freeze after waiting a week. Best Buy replaced with the same freezer and a week later it again does not freeze. I would not buy this freezer.
