Should have listened to the negative reviewers when it comes to the fridge aspect of the unit. I bought this for a fridge to hold extra foot for bigger parties, drinks, etc. Was excited to use this for Thanksgiving coming up. However the fridge couldn't maintain temp and sat at 48 degrees. Unfortunately I didn't notice until it was too late and I lost all my food due to risk of bacteria growth. DO NOT buy this unit. I fully expect this during COVID when things were rushed and full of bugs, but not in 2024. I cannot comment on how it would have done as a freezer as I did not buy it for that.

Do not know how to work refrigerator/freezer! The door is locked and beeping and at some time it unlocks and we have access at that time. We would recommend once we figure out how it works! Asked for instructions and were told to download it!

Worked great at first. Then is started not sealing and even coming open and doing a lot of strange beeping. I lost 2 freezers full of food. WARNING! If you buy a protection plan, be aware that it's under the 18 cubic feet limit for in-home repair. They will replace it but it is an ORDEAL! One representative told me I’d have to bring it back to the store!! After many phone calls, 8-10 transfers and a few hours of hold time, I finally got a nice and knowledgeable rep who sorted it out and got me a store credit. Now I have to find another freezer. Personally I think it would have been cheaper to fix it.

I got the 13 cft insignia delivered. It was dented on bottom. It was another week to get another. We then got 17 cft insignia was also dented on back side seen by delivery driver. We had dealt with this for 2 weeks. I went to best buy alot. But the service, all the phone calls and problems i will no longer get my appliances at Best buy. We were wanting to also buy fridge and stove. But we will look elsewhere.

Best Buy was supposed to deliver me a new freezer because the handle on the when delivered was broken. I asked if they could send me a new handle I was told no we had to deliver a new freezer, but when the freezer came the delivery man decided to replace the handle after I had taken everything out of the other freezer. I wasn’t home and the person who was there for me was told by the delivery man that’s what he had to do. That was a lie.

Quit working after 18 months in a heated garage. Contact Insignia they say they don't service after 1 year, Best buy wants me to bring the freezer back in for diagnostics or pay $150. I can understand if this were older, but I would expect an appliance to last more than 18 months. Absolute Joke customer service.
Would not recommend buying this product or using Best Buy for appliances again.

I bought this freezer in Nov. 2023, and for a unknown reason it keeps wanting to stop freezing...an when i try to reset it to snowflakes like it says to do it will not work and the lights keeps going off....I am very upset with this purchase. An will think twice before i buy another one
