    DO NOT BUY! My old freezer died after approx 5 yrs.. i would hope you can get longer life out of a freezer. I lost almost a grand in food which spoiled. Thought it was a one time thing a bought another. Five days after purchase the freezer temp went up to 40 degrees. Thank goodness i purchased a temperature alarm which alerted me to the rising temps or i could have lost more food.

    If I could give it zero stars I would. Haven't had the thing 2 years yet and the compressor went out. I lost a lot of food. Best Buy says they won't repair anything under 18 cubit feet. One guy told me I had an extended warranty on the compressor and he transferred me to another person who said that most freezer brands have an extended warranty on their products, but not Insignia. Don't buy this piece of crap. I won't be buying anything else from Best Buy!

    Quit cooling at 23mo old

    TRASH! It’s 23 months old and wont cool below 55 degrees now. Tried resetting it and other troubleshooting and nothing works. Dont waste your money on this as it only has a 1 year warranty on the compressor.

    Extremely disappointing.. purchased a year and one week ago and it has completely stopped working.. i expected a few years out of it at least, so didn’t pay for the “extended warranty”. Best Buy wouldn’t make any exceptions. I highly recommend spending a few hundred more on a better quality stand up freezer.

    The freezer is defective and the new one is not being delivered until 2/3 which is a month from the time I reported the issue. One month is excessive time and not a good customer experience.

    i was told that my item could be deliverd after i got off work at 1 30 pm but they tried to bring it while i was working i told them that there was not going to be anyone there to let them in

    Freezer was damaged in multiple places. Would not cool down. It is to be picked up next week and hopefully I will be refunded properly as they do not have another to replace it. Very disappointing.

    As a freezer it works great BUT as a refrigerator it is horrible! If I put it on the coldest refrigerator temperature the food goes bad because it’s not cold enough but if I set it as the lowest freezer temperature the food turns to ice. It’s been frustrating trying to figure it out!!

    Doesn't hold temp

    The refrigerator doesn't hold the right temp. It is set at 35 but the food sits at 44. This spoils anything in the refrigerator. I have had this unit for four months. It is under warranty but they make you take the unit to a store to be looked at. That's not a reasonable.

    It stopped working after a month, called best buy they tell me the return window is FIFTEEN days. How can something get assessed within 15 days. Of course they pass me off to Insignia. Lost 1/2 a cow, of course the claim form only covers $300.

    Geek Squad delivered this unit on 9/14/21. The freezer was dented and didn’t work when they delivered it. They did refund my money but haven’t picked the unit up as of yet.

    Insignia dies not hold temp at set level

    I’m Fridge mode does not hold temperature at set point. If set at 35 will read as high as 43 which is bad for fridge to keep bacteria at bay.

    I bought this fridge for work , a doctors office that needs the fridge to stay at a certain temperature , the temperature goes up and down even when no one has opened the door, how do I know this because we have a temperature logger, it has been a nightmare dealing with Bestbuy and the Insignia company no one wants to do anything to fix the problem even though I contacted them before it was 30 days from the day of delivery

    on day 16 the freezer died! We lost over a 1k in meat and the only thing Best buy could do was "override' the 15 day window we had to exchange it. would not recommend buying this freezer.

    Ordered may 28. Delivered June 4. Stopped freezing June 25. No longer in return window. Everything inside almost completely thawed out. Not very happy. Compressor is making noise, maybe there is a leak. I will try to get warranty assistance, but I am not sure how it will go. Even if it gets warrantied I think the rating stands.

    The door has a bad seal...allowing moisture in and cold air out. Unable to get replacement seal from either the manufacturer per the warranty (not in stock) or Best Buy. I don't know how you put a product on the street that's not supportable but they did and it's a problem. Additionally, the door is not positioned securely in the support brackets and falls off every time I open the door. Owned it less than six months. Don't buy this.
