I had this fridge delivered much later than anticipated due to the pandemic prolonging the item arrival. This was understandable. This Fridge has worked well the 6+ months I have owned it now and looks nice on the outside with the stainless steel. The inside looks a little cheap, but that was to be expected with the cheap price tag. MY biggest complaint about this fridge however is how excessively loud it is. I can hear the fridge everywhere I am at on the first floor of my house. It frequently sounds like a wailing moose when it kicks on and also has a very loud humming noise which is much louder than your standard fridge noise. I reached out to Best Buy customer service and they said there was nothing they could do unless I paid 100$ for someone to come out and fix it (geek squad perhaps?). I did not want to pay a large repair fee for a cheap fridge/freezer so they suggested I reach out to Insignia about the issue. Insignia offered me no help resolving this issue either unfortunately.

It's a freezer or fridge. Keeps food cold. But it's really hard to open. If you or someone in your house has a disability, find something else.

One of the reasons I opted for this fridge over other options at the time, was the ability to remote control it through an application which was working perfectly fine until end of 2019. Unfortunately after less than a year using it, Insignia decided to discontinue the application without providing any alternatives for users to continue remote controling the fridge. After calling their (best buy/insignia) customer service multiple times, I was informed that a gift card was sent to emails on file (which I never received it) and there was nothing else that could be done given that deadline for submitting a claim had been expired. Unacceptable from a Best Buy brand. Will never ever purchase products from such brand again.
