I had a freezer for 15 years that went out. I had to make a fast decision on another freezer quick. Best Buy has always been great in customer service so my decision to as easy. I went to the store found this adorable freezer that fits my family needs. The delivery was prompt the transaction was easy and we are very pleased with the product and the service.

We needed the extra refrigeration space for a large party/gathering recently and it fulfilled our needs perfectly. An added bonus is that when we need to increase our freezer requirements, the unit can be switched over to a freezer from a refrigerator. So far, it has delivered all it promised. Also, the unit was delivered on time and communication was excellent.

I fell in love with my this freezer that converts to a refrigerator it fits well in the garage we had a party this summer it came in handy for lots space for food also food and space for beverages on football night or game night with the fellas and Ladys.

I really like the versatility of this product. I use it as a freezer, but nice to know it can be a refrigerator also. The capacity of 17 foot upright is great. Only thing I’d change is prefer metal grate shelves to glass, but they are fine. I’ve broken glass shelves before. I love the up front controls on the door. I glacé at the freezer and the blue light indicator tells me a all is fine. Won’t know about reliability for years, but I trust Best Buy.

Delivery and removal of the prior freezer went without a hitch. It sure was nice having a brand new freezer for the garage. The other one was getting ready to go.

Great upgrade to our 20+ year old freezer. Set up in our garage. Temperature control holds uniform during days of temperatures in high 60’s to days with highs in low 30’s and night time lows in 10’s.

So far this product meets expectations. I like the feature that you can set it to either fridge or freezer. Plenty big enough to be a solid upright freezer. Bought another one to be a fridge in the garage!

freezer crapped out and needed another one. looked at other brands and with the good reviews this was the best for the money. didn;t need anything fancy. plus you can use this as a refridgerator also.

I wanted a frost-free upright freezer that was well made, easy to use, and uncomplicated. That's what I got. It was also simple to set up, and that it can be converted to a refrigerator is a plus. Since getting this freezer it has stayed consistently cold, and there appear to be no "hot spots." Even the food in the door shelves freezes quickly and stays that way. I have ample storage space, with room left over. If our kids were still home, I could have still used the 17.0 CF size, but would probably have opted for "one size up" as "insurance" if they were 16 or younger. Decided on the freezer because Insignia is made by Midea, which is owned by Haier. I've had my Haier microwave for over 20 years and it's still going strong. And, since Insignia is the Best Buy brand, I am not worried should I ever need service.

Great product. This is my second one. I use one as a fridge and one as a freezer. The first one I have had for 2 years with no trouble. If the unit is completely fitted top to bottom in a sealed cabinet, I could see how it would overheat and become unreliable. The sides do get hot and if you don't have good airflow around a fridge it won't last long. That's most of the problems I saw in the reviews of others who bought this unit. Both of mine stand along and work perfectly and hardly come on to keep cool. Very quiet. So where and how you fit them would seem to be something you should take into account.

I love this freezer. Until the COVID-19 pandemic, it never occurred to me to obtain such a gloriously large freezer. I am able to comfortably keep it in my kitchen. I literally croon at this thrilling appliance. It's beautifully lit, perfectly constructed, attractively simple and I have filled it to the brim with frozen foods,meat, homemade bone broth, leftovers made into meals and ice creams purchased on sale. And, nothing falls on my feet. It's astounding that it could also be used as a refrigerator. If I had to do it all over again, I would be tempted to get another to use as a refrigerator. I honestly think that I might be happier with such a straight-forward construction than I am with my fancy French-door KitchenAid. Of course, I don't think that anyone else would see it that way!
