I bought 2. One for used as freezer and the other used as a refrigerator and i love them either way. Has good storage room, stylish look and easy to control panel.

We love our new freezer/fridge. It would be nice if the listing clearly stated the temperature may be set for either fridge or freezer. We bought two and have them side-by-side. It has changed my life...for the better!

I bought this freezer it’s pretty good. I really like it. The size was perfect for me. Also, it has lotta space inside the fridge. Pretty good edit recommended to someone to buy it. Yes for us Asian we do need a lot of. frozen food Elsa way a lot of gardening it will be easy taking out. He has a glass plastic glass chair, not like the road one.

Purchased this 17 cuft freezer to store extra food during the pandemic. Great purchase! Selected this one because it is upright (no digging through a chest freezer), frost free and Energy Star rated. And, if need be, can be converted easily into a refrigerator. I like the digital display on the front of the freezer to tell the internal temperature. For the extra $100, this larger size is worth it over the smaller 13.8 cuft version. The only downside is that the freezer door is so tight that I need to use 2 hands to open it (one on the top so the freezer doesn't move).

Bought this to put in my basement to replace our tiny chest freezer. Best Buy delivered it and said it wouldn’t fit to get down into our basement. I still think it would have fit, but they are the experts and I was at work. My husband was the one home and instead of sending it back, he had it placed in our detached garage. Finally had my husband plug it in months later only to find the door handle is missing. By the time I noticed months had passed as winter storms came. I haven’t called Best Buy, as I doubt they will send a handle for free after all this time. Otherwise it is spacious and cooled fast. Maybe our next home will have an attached garage!

We had been needing a standup freezer for years..the other day our fridge went out because of this nifty freezer we were able to put all the frozen food in our chest freezer and switch modes on the standup to fridge until we for a new one!!!

Great freezer delivered the next day. It's got all the soecial features at a reasonable price.

I purchased two of these... one to use as a freezer and one to be used as a fridge... In looking at all the reviews, I asked for delivery and installation just to make sure it would be unboxed and plugged in to confirm no issues before they left... Overall, satisfied with the quality. As far as the handle, it looks like the easy thing to do is simply apply slow constant pulling and it will open with no issues... If you try to yank it, then you will get the hold back pressure some folks talked about...

We absolutely love it! We bought it to use in the garage as a freezer, but as it turned out our old freezer is still working, so we decided to use it as a refrigerator just for beverages. It is the perfect size and keeps the drinks really cold. When our old freezer finally gives up the ghost, we will buy another Insignia convertible fridge/freezer to use as a freezer!

Because I have a chest freezer in my garage, I chose to use this convertible appliance as a refrigerator. I like that it displays the internal temperature on the door and has an Energy Star certification. It's working very well for me.

This fridge/ freezer saved the day when my stand alone freezer died. I was able to remove the drinks, convert it to freezer mode and save all my frozen items. Saved me at least $500 in lost food!

We were considering a chest freezer and an upright freezer. We went with the upright freezer just because it's better than bending over and digging things out of a chest freezer. Insignia is a Best Buy brand and well worth it. It was cheaper than other brand models and what we really liked about this is the the digital panel on the door. We can have this as a freezer or refrigerator. Best Buy associate was great in showing us different brands and this is what we decided on. Very happy with purchase.

Alot of room, pretty awesome. I love the fact that it can be either a freezer or fridge, use as freezer and love it.

I LOVE this freezer! I love that it has the controls on the outside. I was worried about it not having wire racks for the shelving system. Even though this has plastic shelves, they work. Just don’t slam anything on them and it’s fine. It gets down to 0 degrees real quick. I have zero complaints about it.

We had a chest freezer and it was difficult knowing what’s inside, the upright is way easier and organized and works really well, and in the garage.

Needed another Refrigerator, but thought a convertible one would be a great idea. Never can tell when you might need to add some Freezer space some time. With this Insignia 17 Cu Ft., I've got everything I need at a much more reasonable price. As there are only a couple Refrigerator manufacturers that make Refrigerators, I saved enough to buy an extended Warranty for 5 extra years after the manufacturer's warranty runs out.

Love the fact I can switch between a refrigerator to a freezer and back with a flick of a switch. This is a great item for my man cave, beer and snacks during the off season. Venison and or duck during hunting season, Love the idea when I open the door, it tells me the internal temperature. This is my second one as I lost the first due to flooding from Imelda.

Works great so far! We're using it as a fridge. Great suction. My S/O's only complaint is it plays a chime (brief) whenever you open the door and apparently there is no way to turn this off.
