New one is more efficient, self-defrosting, and could be used as a refrigerator. Might get another of these units set to refrigerator. Sits in the basement on its own circuit. works as expected. delivery folks did a nice job getting it down the stairs and set up.

The magnetic seal is so strong I sometimes need someone to help me open it. Now, let’s see if it lasts for 20+ years like my old one.

I like the fact that if we decide we don’t need the extra freezer space we can flip a switch and have an extra refrigerator.

This was the one the Best Buy associate had recommended to me. I couldn't be happier. It holds cold temps very well within a garage. The shelving and their sizes fit my needs quite well. Surprisingly well priced for the quality of the product.
