Nice freezer. Lots of space. Could also be used as a fridge. I’m glad I bought it.

Only reason I couldn’t give it a rating of 5 is in shipping one of the door shelf’s was off on 1 side and wedged against the freezer wall. Delivery guys had to to pull open the door with force and caused the white coating to get marred up. The freezer itself is great. Door seals TIGHT so it may be difficult for younger kids or someone with strength or disability concerns to grab something out of it. I like it and would buy it again. Only using as a freezer

Didn’t want to spend a fortune for a refrigerator for our garage. This was what we were looking for. Packed nice. Easy set up. Works great.

Ordered Insignia 17th Ft upright freezer online, picked up from store, as delivery to my address was not an option. Unboxed and let it sit for 24 hours before plugging it in. Set it to 0 degrees Fahrenheit per instructions. Let it run an hour or so. Placed unfrozen popsicles on each shelf in the freezer to monitor freezing. Checked the next day as it takes a while to come up to temperature. Items on the bottom shelf were beginning to freeze, but no others. On day 2, items on the bottom shelf were hard frozen. Items on the next shelf up was soft frozen. The items on the top two shelves were not frozen at all, not even slushy, completely liquid. 4 days later and all the items in the freezer are in the exact same condition. Nothing frozen on the top two shelves at all and on the third shelf down, the popsicle seems to be thawing. I called the customer service number on the appliance, told him what the display said as instructed. The agent stated I’d done everything right and he doesn’t know what’s wrong. He offered for a technician to come out to diagnose the problem and recommend replace or repair. I stated I have no interest in having to possibly repair a brand new item out of the box, as it’s telling of the poor quality and indicates potential future problems. My only option is to load it back up and drive 1.5 hours to my nearest Best Buy store. Not sure if I even want to replace it and try again. Shameful that this is the quality of material that is being sold to the public, especially an item over $700.

Great appliance since it has dual mode (refrigerator/deep freeze). I only use it for deep freeze mode and I upgraded it from another insignia (5.1 cu.ft). This one has digital display which allows you to adjust temp really quickly. The best thing for me is that it has a lot of lights inside.

I bought this to replace our chest freezer. The convenience of shelf is amazing (have the 17 cu ft). It’s in my garage where the temperature in summer climbed to 100F for few days and it had no problems at all. When running I hear no discernible noise. I have so far used it as a freezer and I can consistently get temperature at -11F. Icing on the cake is that Bestbuy set this up for me and made sure it’s aligned and balanced.

LOVE these so much we have 4! 2 as freezers, 1 fridge at home and 1 as a fridge in vac house.

Great purchase! We love the fact it can be a fridge or freezer. Also the size is perfect and will fit perfectly almost anywhere!!

Love it! It holds so much more than the chest freezer we had and I don’t have to dig around to find things. I can clearly see everything and keep it organized.

I really love this convertible refrigerator. It has a little chime that goes off when the door opens that alerts be when my ex is doing his grocery shopping from MY refrigerator. (He has own apt downstairs ) It also shows the temp on the door and has many shelves. It looks nice, performs well and is just what I needed.

Lots of room, perfect for a larger family. Delivery was fantastic! They unboxed it, put the handle on put it where I asked them to, plugged it in, leveled it. Perfect!

Only had freezer for about 1 month. Love it! Looking forward to not having to defrost!!! Very quiet, lots of room. Great delivery

Great so far. Easy set up and holding temp so for this winter

This was purchased for duel purposes. For now, we need a deep freezer, but we also move a lot and often run into rental homes with no refrigerator. The idea that this converts is very appealing. The interior is kind of lacking though, looks very cheap and bland. But, as a freezer, it's serving its purpose. The suction is strong, so we purchased a utility mat to place under it to keep it from moving every time we open the door.

Sleek exterior; perfect fit for an unusual cut-out cabinet area size in my downstairs mancave. BBY installers did a masterful job squeezing it into a tight area. Only downside is rack heights inside won’t quite fit a tall bottle of wine. Definitely recommend if you have a smaller size slot for a fridge!

Have had it for almost a year now and it works quite well! I did put it in the laundry room after reading issues with having it in the garage. Not sure if that would have an impact. Love it! Deducted a star because it is kind of hard to open and after a few months, have to retighten the screws on the door handle. I have no kids. It holds a lot and it's easy to get to everything!!!

This fridge/freezer is absolutely perfect! I love that you can choose whose to make it for your need at the time. The size is perfect for our space and the layout is super convenient and easy to utilize. The door is a little difficult to open but that just helps ensure it will stay closed in my opinion! :) Keeps everything a perfect temperature, has super deep shelves and perfect door pockets.
