Larger than I expected, but so far it's great! Love the upright compared to the old chest freezer. Very easy to use and easy on the budget <3

Previously we had a chest freezer and it was hard to see or find everything in it, so we decided to change to an upright. This unit can serve as a freezer or a fridge and has plenty of room in it. As noted in other reviews, the seal is tight, but to me that is a good thing.

Upgraded from a small chest freezer to this upright. Love being able to see everything easily. Have had for a few months now and is working great.

I really like this. It is designed very well and the materials for shelves and on the door are excellent. It is well lit which makes it easy to find things at night. I also like the option of using the lock.

Would have been 5 stars but the first refrigerator they delivered had non negotiable cosmetics damage and when i called to get it replaced (because it was dropped off as is) i had to go through a streneous automation call peocess before you can talk to a person. Also they wanted detailed information (model and serial number off fridge) which made it harder to get a replacement scheduled while travelling away on business. Didnt understand why they didnt have that information from my order? Anyway after working through all that they replaced the damaged refrigerator a couple days later and took the bad one away. It works great for my needs im happy with it

Had been looking for an upright freezer to replace a chest freezer. After checking other stores for prices and delivery options, this freezer from Best Buy was the best size and most economical for me. Only had to wait a week for my delivery versus 2-3 weeks with other stores, and had 4 delivery guys.

I was so surprized with the performance of this freezer. So spacious.

Very pleased with this freezer. Inside design is laid out well to maximize space. Have it in my garage and freezes well despite a run of 90 degree weather. I have purchased several Insignia appliances and have been very pleased with each of them. Only reason that I have not given this a rating of 5, is because it was delivered with the wrong size door handle and I have yet to receive the proper door handle more than 30 days later.

So far so good. My only complaint, which isn't really a complaint, is that the seal is so good that when open the freezer and the whole thing moves. I need to get some shims to keep from moving. So, if my sarcasm wasn't picked up, the seal being so tight is a great thing.

Plenty room, love the versatility from freezer to refrigerator.

My initial impressions of this Freezer were very positive. I took delivery of this unit on September 19, 2024. On September 15th 2025, I noticed that ice cream in the freezer was soft. The freezer was set to -5 deg F. I moved the ice cream to another freezer and it hardened over night. I put it back in the insignia and this morning it was soft again. Today is September 20, 2025, I reported it to Best Buy to get service to be told my warranty expired 1 day ago. Best Buy refuses to warranty the freezer. I would first recommend that no one purchases this freezer. Second, I would suggest that the Best Buy house brand "Insignia" is not built to last. Lastly based upon Best Buy's response to me on this freezer, I would recommend you find an alternative source and do not buy from Best Buy.
