Shelving and lighting or both good + the bottom bins are good for holding awkward size items. Seal is so tight, the door is hard to open but that is a good thing. Nice product.

I took delivery of this unit on September 19, 2024. On September 15th 2025, I noticed that ice cream in the freezer was soft. The freezer was set to -5 deg F. I moved the ice cream to another freezer and it hardened over night. I put it back in the insignia and this morning it was soft again. Today is September 20, 2025, I reported it to Best Buy to get service to be told my warranty expired 1 day ago. Best Buy refuses to warranty the freezer. I would first recommend that no one purchases this freezer. Second, I would suggest that the Best Buy house brand "Insignia" is not built to last. Lastly based upon Best Buy's response to me on this freezer, I would recommend you find an alternative source and do not buy from Best Buy.

The shelves are glass and is not good for a freezer.When you have a frozen turkey, you can easily break the glass. I wish I would have waited for an actual freezer that I saw at the Yuma, Az Best Buy.
