Good sound for the price. does not have the hollow sound like some bars in this price range. Doesnt allow control of volume from TV or Roku remote. Could be my older TV, so not negatively effecting the review due to that, but could be an issue for someone else.

Thank you for your detailed feedback! We're glad to hear that you're satisfied with the sound quality, especially considering the price. It's great to know it doesn't have the hollow sound that some other bars in this price range might have. We appreciate your understanding regarding the volume control issue, which could indeed be related to the compatibility with older TVs. Your insights are valuable and will help other customers make informed decisions. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out. Enjoy your sound bar!

Good sound bar. Pars well with my insignia tv. The remote for the tv can work with the sound bar. The instructions were a little confusing but after a reread I was able to understand how to get it to work. It did need to "break in" sounded muffled at first but after a day or two of using it the speakers sound fine.

The 2.0-Channel Soundbar by Insignia has improved the quality and volume of the sound that I get from my television. It performs as expected and was relatively easy to install. You can connect it to your system using HDMI, 3.5 mm AUX, USB, Bluetooth, or digital optical audio. It includes a digital optical cable, which may cost an additional $20, if purchased separately. I used the digital optical cable to connect the Soundbar to the OPTICAL OUT jack on my television. After turning on the power button on the Soundbar, I then had to change the sound output using the source setting to PCM format. I then had to change the source input on the Soundbar. The indicator light turned green when the correct source input on the Soundbar had been selected. Result, great sound.

These are not necessarily for audiophiles, but if your TV doesn't give you enough sound, these are perfect. We have 2 of them. While getting it setup isn't always flawless, it is 95% of the time an issue with your TV and not the soundbar itself. I had to go through hoops trying to find the right setting on the TV (pcm), but once I did my soundbars worked flawlessly. Seriously, for this price it is worth being able to hear your TV.

I purchased this for a 50" television. I guess it wasn't compatible because it sounded horrible. I was able to get it to work on a smaller TV set in my home office. The sound is only okay. It was an inexpensive sound bar. I guess I got what I paid for.

Sounds alright and the price was great! Just a bit touchy to set up but it all worked out. Better than TV sound with different sounding modes "news, theater," etc. Plenty of volume and pretty compact to manage.

The main thing I didn’t like about the 43-inch Insignia Fire-TV was the sound quality. This little soundbar did a lot to remedy that, and works off the TV’s remote. Never had to even put batteries in the remote that came with the soundbar. The sound isn’t going to match pricier setups but for a sub-$100 unit it does what I needed. If you can get it on sale then it’s worth it. Easy hookup & setup, but you’ll need your own HDMI cable. And be sure to read the directions regarding required audio settings on your TV. Now I have an escape to sports when they want to binge Grey’s Anatomy.

love the sound quality and fits right in under my tv, it’s the perfect space. set up was easy and only issue i have is you have to mute the tv volume to use the sound bar unless you want a constant echo from the two contrasting volumes; otherwise, no issues.

Bought this to use in our 5th wheel camping trailer to get some better sound and to simplify getting sound from the TV, DVD that came with the RV, and the separate Bluray player we use. This fits the bill, since it has the ARC which allows control from the TV's remote. The sound quality is good for a 2.0 soundbar. You won't be feeling explosions nor will you rattle your campground neighbors windows, but the sound is definitely richer than we had before. We also needed a smaller one, as it had to fit in a rather confined space. Got it a 50% off sale, so it was really worth it. Nothing in the same or close price range had the ARC, which was a must.

I bought this because I had a speaker that was bad in a spare room TV. The Sony TV has a great picture but the speaker had a rattle that was driving me crazy. This was an inexpensive way to get more use out of that TV. The sound quality is better than I expected. Well worth the money.
