This is not what we expected… our TV sound did not improve

I can't get the sound to match with the actual....

It sounded terrible. I took it back the same day for a refund.

I hooked this up over the optical cable to my Roku TV in the bedroom. I wanted something that projected the sound forward rather than out the back of the TV. The TV sits by the door to the bedroom, so all the sound projected into the living room causing a battle of sounds between the living room TV and the bedroom TV. Now, with a soundbar on both TVs, I don't hear what my wife is watching in the bedroom and the living room is not as loud as it use to be. Setup was easy. Hooked up the optical cable to the soundbar and to the TV. Changed the audio settings in the TV settings menu. Then programmed my universal remote to control the soundbar. My Roku remote can not control the soundbar, the remote can not be programmed to control any other devices. But my universal control has no issues. If you have almost any other type of TV, you will have no issues as long as the remote is programmable. There is a 'headphone' aux cable/connection if you can't use the optical setup. If your TV supports Bluetooth, this is also an option. Other than that, you have a power cord and the soundbar remote. The soundbar remote is decent, but I prefer only needing one remote. On top of the soundbar there are control buttons. On/off, volume and input. The status light on the front shows how you are connecting. Overall, very few bells and whistles. No HDMI connections, so no ARC. Bluetooth is a nice add. I really like the sound. It is the perfect size and quality to connect to a bedroom TV or as a soundbar for a PC. HDMI ARC would have made this 5 star.

My use case for this soundbar wasn't for a home theatre setup in a movie room, but for my bedroom and small TV. As you can guess the speakers on the TV aren't great and I feel like I have the volume all the way up and can barely hear, so having a smaller mini-sound bar to give me 2.0 sound for late night TV is a definite step up. These gives good sound for the occasional TV Drama and Youtube video I grab at night before bed so I'm happy with that. I even did a movie the other night and it wasn't horrible, but again I didn't get this for cinema sound I got it so I could actually hear my TV and enjoy some shows and technical Youtube videos and I find this sound bar has the right sound for what I wanted and am happy with it. Setup was simple enough, just plug it into the TV, and being about 20" fit pefectly on my TV stand below my 32 inch panel. I don't have the TV mounted to the wall, but this would be just as easy to mount if needed, looking at. Overall for my useage case to get improved sound in my bedroom for late night viewing I couldn't be happier with this little bar.

So, let’s be clear, this soundbar won’t give you a home theater experience. But it’s way better than using your TV or monitor speakers. The sound is richer and louder than most TVs can do, but you won’t get that immersive experience. I thought this would be perfect for my youngest son’s room. He likes to watch his shows in his room, but he uses the sound from the TV. This was a huge upgrade from what he had before. We connected the optical digital output from his TV to the soundbar. It also has the traditional AUX input, so you can go that route. But it doesn’t have an HDMI passthrough, so you’ll be limited to using the AUX or optical connections to get sound going. It was a bit disappointing that HDMI pass through wasn’t included, but it still worked for us, so we’re good. Another idea I had was to use it at work. I have a big PC panel that I use for presentations, and right now I use the sound from the panel when I need to show something. I thought this would be perfect for that. It would fit well on the shelf under the panel, and since it has AUX, I can use it on the PC that’s integrated into the panel. Oh, and you can mount this on the wall under your screen, but we decided to set it on the entertainment center under my son’s TV. I’m sure it would look great mounted, especially if your TV is mounted and all the cables are hidden in the walls. The sound is super clear and rich. You get a nice tight bass, but it’s not the same as if you were rocking a standalone subwoofer. My son loves this little soundbar. He says his video games and shows sound much better with it installed. It’s a nice little upgrade to his setup.

Dont listen to the other reviewer. If you get a bunk product, get it replaced, dont give the item a one star review. Anyway, for a REAL review: This soundbar is EXCELLENT. I originally purchased this in 2021 and it’s still worked brilliantly for me to this day (10/13/2024). I was initally using an optical cable to connect my Xbox directly to the soundbar. After maybe a year this stopped working and sound stopped playing through the soundbar. This is most likely just due to Xbox’s massive restrictions when it comes to soundbars. I switched to RCA cables that connect to my monitor instead and haven’t had an issue since! The speaker gets LOUD and I’ve never found myself wanting another soundbar or speaker. I’ve also used this to connect to my projector for movie nights and it has never let me down. All this for $50 is a steal of a deal. I’ll be getting a second one soon for my husband’s monitor/Xbox set-up.

I needed a speaker for playing around with a synthesizer without a speaker of it's own and this was a cheaper option than buying more expensive studio monitors. Plus, this is compact enough that I can move it around between devices and use it with my phone or smart devices over bluetooth.

Well much like the box says this is best for a bedroom or an office. I couldn't agree more. Most televisions nowadays have down firing or backfiring speakers which means the sound is muffled. It's off or you have to cut it up to a thousand to hear it. This is a basic run-of-the-mill soundbar that gets the job done. The two in 2.0 indicates that it's a left and a right so it's forward firing and it's got a slight bit of surround to it with isolated left and right speakers. The 0 in 2.0 isn't exactly what you think. To a novice. You may add a subwoofer to this because the soundbar itself is inexpensive. I wouldn't spend more than another $50 a soundbar to go with it and I would stay with the same brand insignia. There's probably some compliment to having the same brand work together. I haven't found a subwoofer yet. I was hoping to have a big time. Subwoofer to go with it but at a display price. Still holding out the hope. As it says on the box, I recommend this for a bedroom or a home office. Keep it simple.

I like that this is small which saves on space. But I was hoping it had better sound than what it does. I have a monitor that has built in speakers that do not get too loud and has no remote. The sound from this felt maybe a tad louder than my monitor does so not much difference. But at least it came with a remote so I can adjust sound without having to get up. Why 2 stars from me. Sound as I mentioned was less then what I thought it would be. Also when using the aux for sound at times it will start to just make a humming like noise and I have to turn it on and off to get it to stop. It does not have hdmi for arc connecting I like that it comes with a remote. I like that it was easy to pair and switch between Bluetooth and aux. Made it easy to listen to music thru phone or watch a movie. It comes with a template to assist in mounting it if you prefer that. I use a TV tray that is wide and this fit perfectly under my monitor on the tray. Overall I was not pleased with how this performed personally. If you want a smaller soundbar that is not very loud and you can plug in via fiber optic, aux cord or Bluetooth than this is for you. I prefer something louder and can connect via hdmi.

Good sound for the price and size. Hook up was easy. The only down side is the inability to control the volume with the Roku remote. A non-issue for us.

Don’t expect a booming system, I’ve heard Bluetooth speakers with more bass than this. However, it’s way better than the TV speakers and for the price you can’t ask for much more.
